Orange Bowl?!

I don't see either Oregon or Bama losing. I think FSU will end up in the Orange, Clemson will get chosen over us for the Chick-fil-a and we'll end up in the ACC's third bowl game.

What's that, the Russell Athletics Bowl?

lol@ FSU has to pull for us every week to bolster their SOS and potential "good win" in a rematch. If its Duke, VT, or GT in the ACCCG, their forked.

If Orange Bowl loses ACC winner to NCG, they can select any qualified team that is not automatically selected by another BCS bowl. Typically the bowl chooses the next highest rated team from the same conference, but they are under no obligation to do so.

Question? I know what happens if we win out and beat FSU in the ACCCG (Orange Bowl). But what happens if FSU and Miami win out, but we lose to them in the ACCCG? I would assume that they would play in the NC game, and therefore still slot us in the Orange Bowl since they can't play in the game.

At this moment it is impossible to know. It depends on the final bowl rankings.

Last year UF didn't play in the SECCG and made a BCS bowl.

I don't think we'd be selected as an at-large at 11-2.

It is really tough to say at this juncture. If FSU is in the NC game, our 2 losses would be against the NC and one would be in post season. It is hard to weigh this against the unknown (the other teams and their unknown records).

Under that scenario, I can't see how they don't pick Miami!

Clemson's fan following > Miami's

Amount of tickets Clemson would sell especially considering the game is in NC > 10 fold the amount of tix Miami would sell

That's why the Orange Bowl committee would likely choose Clemson. Its all about the dollar bills unfortunately.

Attendance bashing aside...I doubt Clemson would bring more fans to the Orange Bowl then UM would since the game is right here.

Oregon isn't playing for a title over FSU.

They should not if they win out the better match is bama fsu everyone knows the ducks will get destroyed like always with the tiny rb sprinters against big fast D's. Anyway the ducks will slip up somewhere like they usually do but would be fked up. I want to see the 2 best teams and fsu and bama r that.

when they beat standford they will leap FSU and take the #2 spot...As much as people want to say we are not
back and down play what Miami is doing...FSU's win over us helped them leap frog Oregon...but standford
being ranked #5 will help them leap frog FSU Again...(a win over Florida is not gonna help them)

The only thing that may help FSU is if we win out and lose to them at the ACC championship game (and I still think
we can win that game) it will get interesting down the stretch

After that complete sh*tshow of a game last time they played in the Orange Bowl, I think the Orange Bowl committee would give pause to inviting Clemson again.

If FSU wins out, but Bama/Oregon win out, then Oregon/Bama will meet in the NC game, slotting FSU in the Orange Bowl. Also, say one of those teams did end up losing and FSU got slotted into the NC game, if Clemson wins out I'm pretty sure they would get slotted into the Orange Bowl.

How would Clemson get the slot as they didn't win their division? We go to the orange bowl if FSU goes to the natty as we will be "2nd" in the ACC

in that scenario clemson would get an at large bid and beat us out, i've been saying for weeks, if you're a miami fan, you want clemson to lose

they'd take clemson over us given the chance. the orange bowl committee is tied in with the tourism department. clemson fans travel extremely well and we can't even fill the stadium with our own residents. taking clemson will bring in a lot more money (and probably more ticket sales) than having us go. we need to beat fsu in the title game or have clemson lose.

If we go 11-1 and lose to FSU in the ACC CG, don't expect anything but another November Bowl in Orlando or Lagos, *****ia.

I don't agree with this. I guarantee you Miami would sell out their allotment of Orange Bowl tickets if they're selected. This would be our first BCS bowl since the 2004 Orange Bowl (2003 season). You're nuts if you don't think we'd sell out our allotment
