OOC Schedule Review

As for Cinn, losing to USF and Illinois last year was pretty bad.

It certainly was, but that same Cincinnati team took Louisville to OT only to come up short in their final regular season game. They also put together a string of good wins after that USF lost.

I don't know much about them, Ark. State or Nebraska, but it's difficult to pencil those games in as sure fire wins simply because we've struggled against inferior opponents under this regime.

The talent level under Golden is at an all-time high and it's time for both the players and coaches to elevate their abilities to the next level. No reason for not beating these teams.

Cincinnati has Gunner Kielh at qb.
He tore it up in the spring game. If he is legit then Cincy becomes a pretty tough game.

THIS GAME WILL BE PERSONAL FOR TOMMY TUBERVILLE AND ALL THE S. FLA KIDS PLAYING FOR CINCY! IT WILL BE A WAR, DON'T SLEEP ON TUBS HE WILL HAVE THAT PLAYING OUT OF THEIR MINDS FOR THAT GAME. listen to what he says in the 2nd video about playing teams that play vanilla on defense, he speaking directly about Miami.

Then they got smashed by UNC, but losing to USF and Illinois was pretty darn bad.

I don' like any of them but Nebraska. One thing I don't like about the Golden era is losing the "we play anyone, anytime, any place"mantra we had during the day. Maybe we need a balance but we have all the patsies we need in the ACC.

There might be patsies in the ACC, but we don't seem to play any of them. Did you watch the games last year? IF this staff doesn't get its act together, we are going to be one of THOSE school that good teams pay to kick the crap out of.

Nebraska will be a big challenege, Lincoln's a tough place to play. I would be able to give more of an idea about this game after I see what we can do against Louisville.

Not including bowl games, here is their record home v. away over the last 5 years (no bowl games or neutral games)

2013:
H: 5-3
A: 3-1

2012:
H: 7-0
A: 3-2

2011:
H: 6-1
A: 3-2

2010:
H: 6-1
A: 4-1

2009:
H: 5-2
A: 4-1

H: 29-7
A: 17-7

Nebraska on the road is going to suck. The only consolation is it won't be Olsen's first big game on the road. He's going to be front and center on the national stage vs. L'Ville. Nebraska will be a thermometer game for us I think; they run a lot and they use a lot of read option ( I think? Who the **** watches Nebraska?). Stopping the run will be paramount. Pelini is a psychopath, but that dude knows defense. He could potentially embarrass Golden. Don't forget, Bo is on the hot seat in Lincoln and a big win against the Canes would do a lot for the sentiment around him. I'm not optimistic. Cincinnati worries me because since Golden has got here we make those teams look like national title contenders. I think we win, but it will be an embarrassment. Probably a pretty close game. If Arkansas State beats us, fire Golden at the press conference.
