One of the most notable improvement I have noticed under Al

Two quick points.
1) I agree our WR group has improved in blocking. I watched DORSETT take out a corner get back up and lock out a LB so his teammate Coley could have a lane. That is unselfishness. That is a team.

2) our WR's are becoming elite. This time last year, the moment was too big for them. The WR's didn't show up in the biggest games. This year our receivers jump on teams early and show they are better than the guy in front of them.

Its very Alabama of us.

I actually see a lot of similarities between the way Saban and AG run their programs. Except that I'd let AG mentor my kid for 4 years in a heartbeat and Saban is a total ****.

The Team is taking on the personality of Golden and the individualism has all but ceased. I noticed the WR blocking in the game at BC last season & it has improved this year after another year of UTough. To me the biggest improvement has been with the front 7 of the defense hands down!

Tackling. That's by far the most noticeable improvement I've seen. Open field and gang-tackling.

Not only our the guys better at tackling, they are consistently trying to create turnovers. The 2nd man to the ball is always going for the strip and our pass rushers are going for the sack and strip. It is not a coincidence that we have already forced 9 fumbles.

The reality is we are better in ALL aspects of the program. The guys are in better condition, mentally tougher, competitive, unselfish, more technically sound in all areas of the game with better gameday management. I said a while back that Golden will win a NC by year 5 if we didn't get hammered by the NCAA. It is amazing to see what he has done with NCAA issue still hanging over the program. If Ryan Williams continues to improve, I think we have legit shot next year if a few key players don't leave early for draft and we pull in a few JUCO DL.

Dorsett has come up big again and again blocking downfield. Hurns doesn't score on that long play against GT without Dorsett running downfield to block the safety.

I haven't seen many missed tackles yet this year.

I can't recall a single one, honestly. Now, I'm sure there have been missed tackles, but that's a remarkable turnaround from last season alone, and the past decade. When was the last time we had a team was this fundamentally sound?
man when randy was the coach , lawd jeezus we couldn't wrap up for **** .. makes u appreciate the little things .
