Sticks flat out admitted he didn't want to do the extra work to get in to Miami. Not Randy's fault.

I thought Randy was a pretty good closer but he just couldn't handle the big picture. Sickens me that he is at UiF but oh well.

Stedman should of been here. I think we went after 1 wr that year and it was Reuben Randle. Stedman was a beast and should of been here. I liked Geno but looking back at it, he went to the best place for him. WVU had an offense that was suited for his skillset. I dont think he would of did well here. I recall the orange bowl against Clemson where he put up insane numbers but like 5 of his tds were shuttle passes behind the line of scrimmage to Tavon Austin. We didn't run an offense like that.

I agree there's some reason that recruits aren't picking Miami as often as in the past and wouldn't be surprised if it's money. Assuming it's money, is Richt completely blind to that? Would he have taken this job knowing there were no boosters to pay kids like the sec? Or is part of our new sec recruiting that the money will flow (just kidding ncaa...nothing to see here)?

I always thought they ruined him becausethey ddidn't really have a pplaybook it wassome of the most simple plays youll ever see but being in a horrible defensive conference they got away with it for as long as they could when down here I always believed he would've been better then Morris

Don't forget offering low 3-star kids so he wouldn't have to do much recruiting to land them. While at Miami he hated recruiting which was pretty evident with his last class when Golden had to take over. Always makes me laugh when some posters on here defend him saying "he's just doing his job". Because he sure as **** didn't do that here, that's why I dislike him.

Well I agree with that. He was a pure passer and they never really developed him.

I'm no recruiting export but I got the impression from Randy (when he was in Miami) he had little patience for the recruiting drama. To your point, it seemed like if he had to put in too much work on a player he moved on quickly. Almost as if he was too good to beg.

He got lucky with a ridiculously loaded (and overrated) 08 class, but still missed on the two eventual best players in South Florida that year, Patrick Johnson/Petersen and Corey Liuget. Also missed on Janoris Jenkins.

His 2010 class was full of guys who were FCS level players.

Exactly. We used to freakin' joke that Randy used to get lost as soon as he crossed the county line into Broward and would just turn around and go spend the rest of the day eating chicken nuggets in the MNW cafeteria.
