Chasen Johnson -
Visited Miami earlier this week but don’t expect Miami to be picked in this one after speaking with him.

This kid was just a freshman, so he could obviously improve and be great down the line, but I don't trust this staff to develop or scheme to make this kid great.
Correct. We need certified ballas in the secondary. We need quick fixes and we can’t trust our developing skills.
Also help if Guidry is gone too. Please and thanks.

CB to LSU but is he working to set up a visit here?

But Ja’Keem’s father, Marcus, told CaneSport on Wednesday afternoon that the Canes are in it. And that Ja’Keem will go through the process before making a decision.

“He’s working to set up his visits,” Marcus Jackson said. “It’s totally up to him, we’re going to talk tonight and he’ll get about four to five schools he’ll visit.”

All they are seeing is 6'3".

Maybe that plays up in the ACC? Hasn't for Richard (but to his credit, he will make the occasional play in between getting that work from absolute scrubs).

I don't think we have good DB evaluators in the building at all - probably the source of the actual issue in the room. I know a kid getting recruited by Chevis as we speak (high priority walk-on spot)...very active recruiter, so i can see why Mario likes him to a point, but he and Addai had to have some say in the evaluation process and they both just swing and miss (although, we'll see what Jackson brings to the table with Antoine and Ewald).

Goes to the top, obviously, with Mario...but it seems no one on staff can evaluate corners well.

Go apply.

EMMANUEL KARNLEY, Arizona CB

247Sports: No. 49 overall

You know about Tacario Davis, but you should know about the other Arizona cornerback in the portal too because teams are swarming all over him. Miami is very much a team to watch in this race. He's expected to visit Miami this weekend and the Hurricanes have momentum in this one, per sources.

I post this national 247 update not to co-sign this kid, because I haven't sat down and watched the All-22. But this is not some Miami creation. Big teams are after him, likely because of the physical tools and the early snaps.
