This really hurts depth. Even though Sherman didn't like to bang down low it hurts losing a 6'8 big guy who can shoot.

All these transfers may not hurt much this season as we still have quality depth.

What it does hurt is the next season after Angel, Sheldon, Tonye, and Uceda leave.

2016-2017 team with Lecomte and Sherman would look a lot better.

Not sure why this kid left outside of the types of things you don't hear about until much later. Sure, Murphy is going to get some of his minutes but there was still a role for Sherman.

Apologize for my ignorance but where do we stand with scholly's and any forced reductions?? Seems like we'll be bringing in a bunch of guys next class.

If nothing else depth took a hit by his transfer. My gues is he wanted more playing time ,and realized he wasn't getting it.

This hurts. We'll still have a very good team but big man depth is what you need in the ACC. He played a good amount as a freshmen. Had potential to get much better. Wish the best to him.

No idea why he would leave, unless there's something we don't know (I'm not speculating) and/or he had a talk with the coaches and he/they felt he wasn't going to have a big role going forward, and/or he's a dumb selfish 19 year old (I'm not bashing the kid, just a possibility).

We still should be ok, and I'm really excited about Murphy, but our big man depth is going to need some replenishing over the next couple of years.

So, we're looking at something like this next year....

PG: Rodriguez
SG: McClellan
SF: Reed
PF: Murphy
C: Jekiri
-----------------
G: Newton, Palmer
F: Cruz-Uceda, Lawrence
C: Izundu

I assume this means Izundu does not redshirt. Not that he'll get a lot of minutes, but we don't really have much big man depth now.

I still think we're top 5 in the ACC and a Sweet 16 team. I think Reed has a breakout year, and Murphy averages close to 10/10 next year. I also expect Jekiri to have a monster year.

Larranaga is great, but isn't it a bit of a red flag to see 3 players transfer in one offseason?

No because of the reasons why the players transferred. In all three cases it had to do with the players not fulfilling their obligations and/or acting inappropriately. All three would have transferred regardless of who was coaching.

Who acted an inappropriately and how?

I could see maybe you could argue Burnett not getting along with Larranaga, but Manu and Omar have no strikes against their records. At least not public strikes. What on Earth are you talking about franzsolo?

Our team depth talent is getting better every year, theses players were scared to lose playing time. Good news if you asked me. We getting better!!
