Based on Pete's reactions to threads on Olsen, I figure either:

A. Olsen's definitely been underwhelming people

or

B. Olsen was the one that broke Pete's nose in pickup basketball

How about C. Pete is close with Kaaya and Olsen is the biggest threat to him seeing the field soon.

Let it play out. Whatever boneheaded move Olsen made to get suspended will be forgotten if he balls out and outplays Williams this spring imo.

This is why you should take what scouts say with a major grain of salt. Dude is blowing smoke up someone's a$$. What is it based on? His average performance as a redshirt qb while on scout team?

I trust DBC's evals about as much as I trust an anonymous and unaccountable NFL employee. These guys spout a bunch of nonsense and when the dust settles it rarely comes to fruition.

We would have won 1-2 more games with Williams at QB instead of Morris. Coley had to dumb down the offense for Morris because he couldn't pick up the entire play book. Towards the end of the year, defenses knew our offense better than our offense.

The passing game was WR screens or throw it 50+yards in the air and hope the WR caught it. Even Onofrio could stop that.....maybe

Couple of things. Olsen's girlfriend is a Runner at the U, and not from or in NJ. Have heard he got the message and the staff is back to being somewhat excited about what he can do in the Spring. Spring will tell us all we need to know.

I'd like to know what some of you f*ckers did your first semester of college. The fact that his commitment was questioned is a warning sign, no doubt, but a better sign of his potential is how he resonds to the coach's criticism this spring, especially with a starting spot on the line. You can at least give him that opportunity. Some of you guys give up on people way too soon. I'm anxious to see what he does this spring, more than any player on the roster. That will tell us if he's a 3/4 year starter or a future backup to Kaaya. I'm not saying he has to win the job out of spring, but show dedication and development, and at least make it a tough decision, he has the talent.

I do think Kaaya will come in showing more dedication from day 1, but he's also joining an open QB competition without an established returning senior QB that had scouts talking early draft pick (that's another thread though).
