They’ve both been bad since they hit the field here.

And yes, Scaife once earned All-ACC honorable mention or some ****.

Fact is the guy has been bad for a very long time. He’s a hall of fame drive killer.

Poor at OL and LB.

Poor at OL and LB.

Weak in the trenches where it counts most on both offense and defense.
OL and TE (Mallory, Skinner) can't block on offense hence no consistent running game which killed the passing game.
Mario fixed a lot of the DL through the portal but LBs were still weak causing DBs to overcompensate and led to a lot of busts and big plays.

I love this recruiting class because it addresses the 2 biggest areas OL and LB, also TE's who can block... I think it will take a couple of years for the young guys to take over but it will come in time. Everyone else should look much better once we start dominating the trenches.
