Does he have to sit out a year?

Edit yes he does
Yes he will have 3 years to play 3

Nah he has 4 years to play 3.

He's already redshirted once and will have to again because of transferring...3 to play 3.

2016 - Year 1 (redshirt freshman - will practice but can't play)
2017 - Year 2 (redshirt sophomore - can play)
2018 - Year 3
2019- Year 4

He enrolled and redshirted at LSU in 2015...

Did my post infer anything contrary to that? I know he can't redshirt but he is a redshirt freshman this year, which means he will be on Miami's campus for 4 years to play 3 unless he leaves early.

I think some people are looking at it from different angles. Technically he had 4 to play 4 but due to transfer rules he can't play this year (hence 4 to play 3). I think some are not really considering this year since he isn't eligible and thinking more about how much can he play AFTER he is eligible which would be 3 years to play 3.

Glad he's here though, can use the depth for practice for sure and maybe he will be good and give coach Kool's boys a challenge.

Trayone Gray should be playing WR and have a redshirt.

Gray is anything but a bust. He's an Al Golden F**K JOB.

Gray should have def been redshirted his Fr year, but he will never play RB here and most likely won't scratch the 2 deep at WR.

The plan is to only bring in better quality players at those 2 positions(and all positions), so if he can't beat out what we got now, then he might not ever.

IMO he should try to transfer to a team that he can play at, or if he wants the UM degree(which I would completely understand and respect) then he should switch positions to LB or Safety(2 positions where we lack depth and could use athletes of his calibur) now while he can start learning during his redshirt year(he is out for the season) so that when he is finally healthy he will have a better grasp on his new position.

Yes Golden should have shirted him his Fr year and made him a WR, S or OLB.

I never thought he was a RB.

Would love to see that size, speed and athleticism on defense.

Hopefully Blake doesn't kick him out of school one week before next year's opener

You mean hopefully he doesn't do something stupid and selfish to jeopardize the future of the whole program and get himself kicked off the team a week before season.
