Only 6'4 285? Pass. Not big enough. Minimum requirements to be on our OL is 6'6 300 at least. LOL. (sarcasm)

@DMoney initial 26 OL priorities in the Nov 8 Bank

The Canes believe the 2026 OL class can be an all-timer. They had a very successful unofficial visit with elite OT Jackson Cantwell (Nixa, MO). They also covet have a very real shot at OT Keenyi Pepe (IMG), IOL Breck Kolojay (IMG), IOL Grant Wise (Pace) and IOL Canon Pickett (Tampa Tech).

@DMoney 2026 OT's UA game write up

- All of the 2026 offensive tackles struggled in the game, which makes sense given their earlier stage of development. Keenyi Pepe (IMG) played the most and is probably the furthest ahead. His teammate '26 DE Jake Kreul (IMG) beat him repeatedly with natural pass rush feel and motor. When Pepe wasn't going against Kreul, he did OK. The difference between him and his predecessor Francis Mauigoa is that Pepe is a little more narrow and underdeveloped in the upper body. When he gets stronger there, he should make huge leaps. He is a good athlete with a strong lower body.

Seems like there are a lot of parallels between the readiness of Pepe/Cantwell and Francis/Samson.

Only difference is that Pepe/Cantwell aren't plug and plays like Francis was. Ideally, we sign 2 stud tackles like Pepe/Cantwell but have them targeted as starters for the 2027 season and stopgap 2026 with 2 stud OT portals.

I think Pepe needs a bit more S&C to add to his frame and Cantwell needs reps and struggles a bit on pass pro.

No matter who we land at 2026 OT we're gonna have to grab a plug & play tackle. It might be our biggest portal priority when that time comes.
