Let's face it, Clark was the only OL in that class who had proven he deserved an offer. EG, Nelson, Kennedy and Traore were all projections by a mediocre-at-best OL coach in Searels. Even Clark is a low ceiling kid. We've really stunk it up in terms of OL talent over the last several classes..

Nope. Not writing him or Nelson or Traore off.

But I'll freely admit I am biased, as I didn't like the take to begin with because I didn't like the coach who took him. We were hoping for Neal, Tarquin, Eguakan, maybe W Wilson. Just stating the obvious that these Plan C kids had/have a lot more distance to cover to be good than what was/is desirable. And it wouldn't surprise me if none of them end up better than JAGs.

Yes, based on the requisite athleticism needed for the position. He lacks athleticism and technique for this level of college football. I hope Justice can prove me wrong and develop the kid but it's going to be difficult for him to see snaps if we improve our OL recruiting and start bringing in better prospects.

Wardrick Wilson was a plan 0 kid because he never was going to get eligible. Plus EG never was going to be a kid who played his first 2 or 3 years as his senior year was his first year playing football ever.

You cant teach his size or work ethic. That is all I hoped he improved his first year.

He is viewed as one of our most athletic lineman.

Sure, ill give you technique but he is pretty athletic for his size. He will learn Technique. But seriously The kid just showed up to campus 9 months ago and had a very important Spring practice cut short on him.

I hope he develops and becomes a contributor. I do believe the new offense will help. He's not being asked to be a road grader anymore. The new scheme is more OL friendly.
 
EL Gammal is beyond raw so I’m not sure what D money or anyone else was expecting. He’s put on a lot of weight fast and is still learning the position. He’s only been here for one year....Jesus. He shouldn’t be on the field until ts soph year, at the earliest. There’s a lot of athletic ability and potential , he just needs time.

Nelson didn’t have the greatest season but he became our best tackle within days of being on campus. All while playing at 270.

If he gets his size and strength he will blossom into a **** good tackle

It was odd not to see any pass blocking in his highlight. It's hard to truly evaluate him without seeing his feet and stance in pass blocking. Good prospect but he'll need 2-3 years to develop.

Agree on the conditioning part particularly. Shirt him, take him down to 305 then pack muscle on him back up to 320.

I think 247 reported Zion played at 288 last year
