Oklahoma Transfer Cornerback Jaden Davis Bolsters Miami Hurricanes' Secondary

We’re at the point with corners where we just need guys who know the p5 level and have played at an adequate level at minimum.

With Guidry, if you aren't physical and can't tackle then you won't play. Unfortunately for the program, our depth at corner is terrible so even if you are not physical and can't tackle you probably will have to play because we just don't have anyone else.
Yeah we will see. When a DC gets a team playing downhill suddenly they look faster and more aggressive

I’m not sure where the balance is but sometimes you can see our guys thinking too much and that immediately makes you look less physical when you’re playing form the heels

Playing fast is as much mental (knowing your assignment) as it is physical imo

Y'know, CIS and just life in general, is better when Peter Ariz is posting....
I sure miss the frequently posted video of Petey dancing . . . I mean - Patrick Swayze, John Travolta, Jennifer Lopez - even Fred Astaire didn't have HIS moves!

Hammer, Bobby Brown, Dancin' Barry, Gregory Hines, the list is endless....

In a significant move for the Miami Hurricanes, Oklahoma transfer cornerback Jaden Davis has committed to the team after visiting Coral Gables last week with his family. A product of St. Thomas Aquinas HS in Fort Lauderdale from the 2019 recruiting class, Davis brings valuable experience and skill to Miami's secondary, bolstering their roster for the upcoming season.

During his time at Oklahoma, the 5-foot-10, 183-pound cornerback played in 47 games, starting in 22 of them. He has amassed 103 career tackles, one interception, and 10 pass breakups. As a former St. Thomas Aquinas HS player, Davis is already familiar with South Florida's football scene, which should aid his transition to the Miami Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes were in need of some depth in their cornerback room after losing both starters, Tyrique Stevenson and DJ Ivey, to the NFL Draft. Davis' arrival is a timely boost, as he is expected to compete for a starting job opposite Davante Brown, a fellow transfer from the University of Central Florida (UCF).
Yes sir 👏 Let's gooooo

It's shocking that Miami will probably have 2 transfers starting at CB, the failure at recruiting this position is shocking.
On top of depending on one the last 2 seasons and still not having anybody close to decent to replace him.. Just pathetic CB recruiting and development now.

The lights come on, and you gotta take that 4/5/6 home instead of the dime you really wanted.
