Official GT Game Prediction Thread

Part of me thinks that this year's defense is going to take great pride in raping these pretenders in all facets of the game. This D isn't going to let these one-dimensional monster pussies do anything of merit against them, and it's going to show. The O is getting in sync big time. This is a bad week to be Georgia Tech.

Canes 38-3, and that's me being a nice guy.

I think we will struggle in the first quarter for the fact that we are transitioning to a 3-4 defense. If Porter can isolate the Center from getting to second level and guard and allow DP to make tackles from the inside Dive, we'll be fine. However, since we're moving to a 3-4, I think one of our DE's and OLB's will blow one assignment early, and allow a major run play in the first quarter. It is hard to follow assignments when you were a 4-3 team last year, and move to a 3-4. But I think they get it corrected. Look for Chickillo to blow up the OT, forcing the QB to keep it as the pitch lane will not be open. I then expect Gaines and Perryman to have multiple TFL in this game. But it all comes down to whether Porter can take away the Dive, if Chickillo can isolate the T and eliminate the wide pitch lanes, and our OLB's to follow their reads and stay disciplined. That, have Gunter and Howard play a cover 1, and don't get beat deep.

Let's Go Canes!

38-20 and the game will never be in doubt. We will throw on them all afternoon. If Logan Thomas can complete 75% of his passes against these guys, there is no doubt in my mind our offense will throw at will on them, especially with their best safety out for the year. They will gash a few times, but we have been pretty good at capitalizing on their mistakes recently, which they really like to make. They will get their yards but I think they struggle against our 3-4 and linebacker speed.

The two ESPN women who cover the ACC:

Andrea Adelson 24-20 Miami
Heather Dinich 41-31 Miami

Way to go, girls. You obviously cover this team realllllly closely.

Hopefully Heather is better at randomly guessing than Andrea is, at least for those of us who put money on it.

Over the last 4 years my favorite thing about playing GT was watching Spence diagnose plays as if he was in the huddle and blow them up in the backfield....ahhhh memories

we need someone else to step up like that
