Game over, 5-5, GT rolling. A Little league coach would lose his job for the baserunning errors and refusal to play small ball to get in a couple runs up 5-0.
Why can't we EVER score a guy from second? Everyone else scores a guy from 2nd on a base hit, or bunts him in. We can't play small ball. How hard is it to bunt? Is hitting into DPs some new high tech coaching strategy?
Everytime Abreu is up it looks like he puts a good swing on the ball but the kid just can't make solid contact. Earlier in this game he took at a hack at a perfect pitch for a hitter, fastball right down the middle and he just flat out missed it. He does that more than any player on Miami. Now i understand what everyone is saying with the flaw in his swing
and this collins kid? why is he still in the lineup batting 170? We have to have some other guys who can step up to the plate and get on base for us every once in a while
Jesus Christ! I know conventional wisdom is to walk batters when you have the lead, but what the ****? Why not throw strikes with a late 2 run league?.
