The number doesn’t really matter until the summer. More will come and go

We will have more spots, no need to worry. We will have some guys leaving in either the spring or summer, and we don't have to be at 85 until August.

There are a lot of reasons to let these guys graduate, one is "immediate eligibility" if they have already used their one-free-transfer, another is making sure the kid graduates and you get credit for him on your APR rating.

I posted this in another thread: the "window" is just for ENTERING the Portal, you can exit whenever you want.

Which means, all the kids who want to SPEAK with other schools have to jump in the Portal now, but once they are IN THE PORTAL, they can choose to commit to a school at any time.

Obviously, if someone in the Portal commits to UM in February, though, he will have to wait until May/June to enroll. But you can COMMIT any time, so long as you are already IN the Portal.

Take a look at all the commitment dates last year. They are spread out from December through July. The ONLY thing that has changed is that you have to ENTER the Portal during the 60 days allowable, 45 in Dec-Jan and 15 in May.

UNLESS you are a graduate-transfer.

There will be more to leave after the spring game and after graduation, since grad transfer have more flexible rules.
