Offensive line

So is this going to be the norm this week, let's see how many different aspects of the team we can bash/bytch about?

The O-line has been solid overall..... consistency is always the "issue" that everybody has to continue to work on.

I dont like having 2 centers as our starting o-lineman so i'd wish the coaches would just put Henderson back in and move Linder back to guard.

The lil midget Wake Forest NT got in the backfield on maybe 2 plays one he stopped Duke and the other he got to the QB but other then that, he was getting his **** pushed in most of the game.

The lack of sacks on Stephen Morris is a lil misleading b/c Morris has had more pressure in the pocket then that at times but overall this unit is still one of the best groups in the country imo.

I don't mind the stretch play itself. It's running it to the short side of the field that kills it. Some of dukes best runs come on that stretch.

That's the point I'm trying to make with the offensive line... I think it's mess with the sync when your subbing in and out.

One thing to consider is that we've ran the ball for the win on the last drive 2 weeks in a row and part of that is having fresh O-linemen. We have the depth and experience there that we have 7-8 guys who should be able to give servicable snaps. Morris frequently has time, but his footwork has completley broken down and he is unwilling to scramble, so thats tough on a line. If he was so hurt that its stick an Ankle than the staff has severely mismanaged him, but I think he is just playing like ****. Need to hit Clive more and get more stuff out of the backfield. I'd rather Morris hit somebody in Orange short that a bomb to the safety.

Pass protection has been alright, run blocking is a different story, before someone jumps on me and says we've run for over 200 yards in most our games, take into consideration that duke and Crawford are constantly having to make guys miss behind the LOS

Morris flushes himself majority of the time. The OL can be inconsistent at times but it's still our strength. The last two weeks we have taken the ball downfield four times in the fourth , majority by the rush. With no threat of a pass game.

The OL is the last unit that needs to be getting ripped.

Hurries count and just getting flushed out of the pocket..

Welll..getting flushed out of the pocket is prob more on Morris. The guy doesn't step up. There have been times when the de goes around the tackles and instead of stepping up he runs to his left/right

oh my bad. Didn't mean to basically copy you, didn't see your post

Every post on here is about a Stat or a Coach recently, how about the offense line. Their pass blocking is horrible especially when they have Bunche in there... I would love to see Flowers Feilcano Wheeler Linder and Henderson in and see what happens for at least a quarter before they start subbing in everyone. I understand they are building up subs but **** come on we really don't have a solid pass protecting group, now don't get me wrong we can run straight ahead against anyone but I don't think SM trust his line..

So Mr. Stoutland, you think you did a better job when you were here?!?

Stoutland is doing it at bama.but not him...I think the pass pro need help...never said anything about running the ball...I would run all day until you stop it.

We will see on Sat if this is one of best units in the country, Zone3Cane. I am not ready to say that yet. FSU is going to bring the heat and force Morris to make decisions under pressure. The OL will need to play big time AND Morris needs to help them too. He doesnt do them any favors.

Every time I see Morris drop back, plant and fire, I know it's a completion. Doesn't matter if he's throwing it 70 yards, you just know it's a completion.

When I see him start moving from the pocket, my first thought is, "oh Shiit."

I literally shiit my pants when he rolls out.
