my initial two takeaways from last night, non Xs &Os

1) Refs were really bad, ACC bad

2) The announcers were worse than the Refs.
I agree on both of your points.

First time I’ve ever seen a holding penalty called where a guy totally whiffed and didn’t even touch the defender. The Saints DE ran right by our LT and they called back a 20-yard pass to Waddle. Just awful. There was a holding call on our OG that was awful, too.

Only legit holding call was on our Center, as he had the DT in a choke hold.

They also didn’t call P.I. on the Saints DB on the 40-yard pass to our TE in the 3rd quarter. He still made a fantastic catch, but it was a blatant pass interference. Dude was tackling him before the ball got there.

Tua was hit helmet to helmet in the 1st half, and there was no flag thrown. Waddle was held on two occasions where his shirt was almost torn off, and no calls.

It seemed that almost every time we made a big play on offense, they made a bullshyt call on one of our dudes. Just awful officiating.

The announcers were par for the course. Terrible play-by-play, and Brian Griese is a hack.

Our last 2 games will be tough, specially with our offense being so inconsistent. Our OL is atrocious, and has been for many years. But if we keep on playing great defense, and making opportunistic plays on offense, we have a shot against both the Titans and the Pats.

However, if the zebras pull the same **** that they pulled tonight in any of our next 2 games, the Phins are toast. They’re not good enough offensively to overcome bad penalties.

Said this last season. Flores' blitz packages are special.

Might be (might be) even better than the Hoodies.
He's got an elite Dbackfield. Holland was a homerun. But, agree on the creativity. It's the opposite of what we've seen here the past few years. Instead of using DBs to get home, they're used to occupy gaps and blockers, which frees up looping edge rushers. Why wait for the blitzing corner to get home when you can use him to free up Ogbah? In a way, the brilliance is in the simplicity. Really good stuff.

Felt like the announcers were yelling at me all game. Had to turn the tv down. That ****ed me off. Their Mics were WAY too loud and they don’t talk, they scream

Another thing, and I’m seeing this everywhere, why can’t any of these guys let they be 2 seconds of silence? It’s constant talk talk talk and it’s all repeating the same thing.

This style of picking one guy (Gardner-Webb-or whatever his name is) alll they talked about for like 15 minutes was this guy. Then they move on to another player they suck off for -5 minutes. I can’t even watch Sunday Night Football because Collinsworht is soooooo “good” at that style. It’s unlistenable

I was shocked that book is an nfl starter. I know - COVID and all - but the guy sucks. Doesn’t belong anywhere near a 53 man roster.
Yea. He was horrible. They could have picked any dude off the street to do what he did.

Tua can play the QB position well enough to win a championship, but needs a high quality Oline, skill players & defense to negate his propensity to press and make bad decisions.

With all of the above, the best version of Tua is enough to win a championship. Elite game manager..

It seemed to me that Griese was throwing shade all night. Almost like he had a bone to pick wth miami.

I could be wrong but that’s how I took his commentary.

I sad the exact same thing to my son last night.
Also FWIW Book has thrown two pick six's in his QB career....:grinch:
