This probably is playing a role lol

“South Carolina has entered a two-year deal for $1 million with Everett Sports Marketing, an agency that represents athletes in endorsement and, now, NIL deals. This is huge news for Gamecocks athletics, as ESM will have five people working directly with its student-athletes to, among other things, facilitate deals with companies. ESM and the University of South Carolina have co-created a subsidiary of ESM called Park Ave.

ESM will have reps on campus the first of next week to begin in-person meetings with student-athletes.

ESM will be the exclusive partner of the Gamecocks for one year across the country and two years across the state and will not represent another university in that time. They can represent other student-athletes, and already have some on their books. The $1 million that the USC BOT approved goes to the company, so student-athletes aren’t paying anything to ESM nor is the company taking any money out of student-athletes’ pockets on any NIL deals that are made.

This is huge for South Carolina athletics, and I’m told to expect six-figure deals that are worked with national and regional companies. ESM has great relationships, especially with companies that rely heavily on data and analytics to make their marketing decisions. I’m told that ESM has an algorithm that matches athletes with companies, and has brought back great returns for those companies.

The group of employees dedicated to the Gamecocks will have work space at South Carolina, but will be housed in Greenville. There was some thought to keeping them in Columbia full-time, but it’s easier to collaborate with coworkers and have major companies visit the Greenville office to see everyone. There’s also studio space in Greenville for photo and video shoots, which are going to be necessary.

This is going to be greatly beneficial very quickly for current student-athletes, and on the recruiting trail. South Carolina’s coaches, across all sports, will be able to sell something that no other school really can.

This is a project and agreement that has been worked on for nearly two years, and spearheaded by USC deputy athletics director Chance Miller. The school, because of state law, was handcuffed in being able to help its student-athletes out in the NIL space prior to July 1, but great efforts have been put forth to put them in the best position possible going forward. This is one of the biggest pieces, but not the last piece, in having the Gamecocks as major players in the NIL space.”

Was wondering the same thing, south carolina is very meh even though beamer keeps getting praised

They definitely have a good class, especially up front. I still can’t see this kid signing there though. JMO.

If Beamer makes USCe respectable again, he’s gonna get hired away. If it’s this year and next, he’ll be at Auburn. If it takes 3-4 years, who knows.

Whats the connection to USCe? Maybe they have an academic major he likes? Or does he have a former HS coach that is on their staff? Were they his first ever offer? This just seems really out of left field.

He’s gonna be missing out on A LOT of money if he decides to turn pro in track.

Playing Football, he can make life changing NIL money in college & given his freakish athletic ability would make generation changing money in the NFL as a Pass rusher.
Again one of the all time posters is telling you hes a pass rusher. Ive been saying it since day one when i saw his film. Kid is not a WR and its not even close and I really dont think hes a tigh end either. Just because hes fast does not equate to WR. Thats just stupid talk.

I was reading some info on track guys, & yes, they “can” make a nice living, but it pales in comparison to top guys in the 4 major sports. As an example, Usain Bolt is the most dominant track star in the game, yet he’s only worth $90m. From the age of 17 to 35, he’s accumulated a net worth of $90m.

Meanwhile, this is what top WRs r making in a shorter window, & this doesn’t include all the endorsement $$ they are getting:

Cool story but he isnt a WR. Hes a DE and he will kill it at that position.

Harbor only has a few schools out there that will allow him to be a full time track guy and full time football athlete. There’s a reason why a school like Bama isn’t on his list. Saban not having that ****. UGA either. He’s only going to a school that won’t ever let him choose. Basically he won’t participate in anything football related during track season..ever. That’s a tough deal to sign up for. Football is a year round grind.

What happens if his development is lacking in football because he’s giving half his time to track? Do you have to confront him as HC after you promised him he could do both when you recruited him? This kid sounds like he could be a headache to deal with imo.
Zero headache. You got 85 scholarships to give out. You can easily Toss one the way of a once in a decade talent and see where the chips fall. We aren't that good yet to tell super mega stars to fck off.
