I met him a couple of times while he was here.

I was beyond upset when he departed to coach w/ his brother in AZ.

To this day, I truly believe he was the best coach on most of those staffs outside of Curtis Johnson.

Agreed, I was talking recruiting. FSU has done well though recruiting defense, I'm sure they will find a decent replacement

Nothing to do with recruiting, but Stoops leaving will also impact many juniors on that FSU squad. I can see guys like Werner, Joyner, Jones turning pro..

FSwho fans always said if Stoops left it would be no big deal because they would just replace him with Coley. Well if Coley leaves with Stoops then it must be a big deal right?

The FSwho has been garbage with Jimbo at the helm. Stoops and his defense was the positive for them. Having to install a new defense will set them back once again. **** it's not even certain that Jimbo will hire a competent OC this offseason and if he does the offense will be learning a new system too. This is the beginning of the end of the Jimbo experiment. The guy is as good as gone. He'll probably do all he can to cover up his incompetence "think Coker firing his championship coaching staff" but it won't matter, he's in over his head.

Going to be nice to walk into their house next year and thump them.

I was thinking the same thing, but if for some random reason he went there, his recruiting prowess could hurt us bad. Like you, I don't think it'll happen, but I don't think there's a bad fit for one of the best recruiters in the country.

IMO It doesn't matter if he's a west coast guy.

Lupoi's one of those guys who could throw a dart at a map of the United States to determine his next stop. The man is a recruiting MONSTER

Doesn't matter... No way Jimbo gives Coley the chance to cut his teeth as a first time DC when his job's on the line. This is just what the deusioNOLE fans were saying when asked what will happen when Stoops leaves for a HC'ing gig. Jimbo has to hire the very best he can get his hands on "which was Stoops" or he's done and he knows it.

I'm also curious to see if Jimbo hires an OC this offseason. I love that he'll have all new systems to teach next year on offense and defense if he does. Like I said, the Jimbo Fisher experiment is coming to an end in trailerhassee...
