Now that Joe's going to be gone...

We got a saying 'round here, that 'the closest 'gator is the biggest.'

Penn State is far from Golden's interest right now. Golden is not a frikkin' wind vane. He doesn't blow with the wind.

Golden has a mission, and he's invested in that mission. Personally and professionally - he wants to get to playing for National Championships from the greatest recruiting base in the nation.

If he's won his first NC in the next three or four years - he may THEN take a breath and look around. Golden is smart. He knows EXACTLY how JJ did it, and he knows that the shortest route to football fame and fortune is through a Miami team that's contending for NC's every year.

It's not where you start. It's your progression.

After all, and we hear it all the time: it's about the process.

It might be a mess over at PSU, but it's not one that will affect schollys or eligibility of players, and that's not the case with the mess (albeit not one that's even comparable) on the canes' hands. Golden is going to get a good look for the PSU job, and whether or not he wants to go is going is another story. What it really depends on is how much PSU is looking to spend in the wake of all this. If they're willing to drop a lot of money, then the next coach of the nittany lions will be Urban Meyer.

there may not be sanctions from the NCAA for PSU but the effect will be way worse than any NCAA probation. now go back to your semenhole board
