They're still also battling it out for 5-star #1 ranked player in the nation DE Korey Foreman, USC, UGA & Clemson are heavy after him too, but LSU has a very good chance as well because he's close with Maason & wants to play on the same team as him in college.

Don't leave out the parents who enable the behavior of the schools. Unless either the NCAA decides to care, or parents decide not to let their son attend a school at which this culture exists, nothing else matters. And yes as a parent of a high school senior who wants to play basketball in college, everything matters in our decision making including the culture created to coaches and players. If my son was good enough to play football at LSU, then he is good enough to play at a hundred of other schools. And the 20k that a non-superstar football player may receive is worth a lot less than the life lesson I am teaching my son.

I’m beyond even being outraged or even annoyed, and have just accepted it as a fact of life in college football.

What the SEC does, their open and egregious cheating, covering up player misdeeds, and million dollar player payrolls, are open secrets to everyone in college football. Not just us, but the national sports media, ESPN, most knowledgeable fanbases, all P5 coaching staffs, recruits, players, players’ parents, most high school coaches, literally everyone that has anything to do with college football.

It is why hyperbole is used like they could have an open barbecue of newborn babies and nothing would be said or done.
