I usually get excited about the next year once nsd is over. This year seems different for me. I just cant get excited about the off season if dorito is still here as I'm afraid of having this sick feeling next year. How long can we say next year is our year? We don't have elite talent but we should have enough to be better in the acc. Can Golden be so blind to dorito or are we fans just so wrong....?

There isn't anything in between? Such as, Golden is disgusted with the defense and his coordinator but is enough of a professional to avoid Tweeting it or unloading on an assistant coach in a press conference?

Even if we somehow finish with 10 wins? I know, the chances of us beating an A&M/Louisville at this point is next to nil, but if we somehow happen to finish with 10 wins, I don't see any changes happening.

Otherwise, D is gone.
 
Negged when u post after NSD how excited you are for the return of Duke, Coley development and boss DLine recruits we signed.

Neg back to the Koolaid drinkers.. followed canes longer then you probably been alive. At least I wasn't called a troll for having realistic thoughts. Those who negged probably thought we were winning NC and going undefeated.

You got excited about next years team through Coker and Shannon's regime, with them bringing in the Romeo Davis's and Glen Cook's, but not this offseason with Golden bringing in our greatest class in the last 12year??

All the new talent wont change if the scheme is the same. Its not cane or so fl football.

Proponent, what do you know about coach NoD being gone? You are stating as a fact. Are you an insider? Everyone closes to program says he will be here next yr

I feel exactly the same way. My only hope is that the talent they are bringing in will actually fit the system. Unfortunately the learning curve for that system seems to be pretty steep, so who knows.

If it wasn't for Doritos defense we would have 10 wins already. The defense has performed so poorly I'm positive that Golden has thought about whether or not to bring back D. That conversation is unavoidable. We'll see after the season what his decision is.
 
The original post has merit, even though it is a beaten dead horse.

I feel Al has AT MINIMUM two more full years of eval if not longer. It will be interesting to see what Al does with the D situation.

Fan apathy does have a huge influence on the program and perception of it moving forward. If he stays with D'Onofrio and things don't drastically improve next year and the Admin. then forces his hand after next year, then he'll be breaking in a new coordinator in a pivotal year.

It all depends on how much faith Al has on HIS defensive scheme and the ability to teach it. If he wants to ride with it, it gives him very little wiggle room moving forward.
