Hilarious. Only two statements can be taken semi-serious:
" The freshmen all look the part and it seems as though all have GOOD weight, with the few obvious exceptions."
FSU's freshmen are HUGE. Mario Edwards is going to cause us problems in the coming years, I already know.

"I do believe FSU is getting closer to bama type depth."

This is also true. 4 or 5 of their DEs, 3 DTs , and maybe their secondary can start on any team in the country. Kehoe better get his s#!+ together.

But they still can't run the ball to save their lives....
On paper FSU's defense will be nasty for a number of years. Offensively, no one there gives me cause for real concern.
This is true. Rashad Greene is going to be a nuisance and their TE has to be watched.

"There are somewhere between 3-5 future NFL receivers on our team right now.
EJ has plenty of weapons. The problem has never been the receivers, Desmond. " Response from Nole fan regarding Desmond Howard's clause that EJ Manuel will be in the top 5 of the Heisman voting, just needs a decent line and playmakers.
LMAO Greene is the ONLY possible NFL receiver on their roster.

If you believe the recruting sites, FSU has done as good a job as anyone in the country. The question remains can that coaching staff develop players? I guess time will tell. One thing you have to like about Golden is the talent development he produced with mostly non rated kids, and 2 star projects at Temple. Huge advantage over Fisher and his staff.

By the way FSU can have all the 5 star kids they want, ill take the 3 star Dade County all American any day. Denzel Perryman says hello!

Jimbo hasn't impressed me at all. Let's not forget that this will be his 6th year at FSU and he's been either the Head Coach in Waiting or HC the entire time and before Bobby was let go it is now known that he was battling cancer. In year #5 that FSU offense sucked ***. Ranking 104th in the nation in rushing is straight garbage. WHen Jimbo didn't fire Trickett and hire a stud OC to run the offense Jimbo signed his death sentence IMO. Nothing has changed at FSU with Jimbo at the helm. Another summer has passed where FSU players were in the news for doing jail time again and players were still getting kicked off the team or leaving.

Jimbo is cutting his teeth at FSU and his ego will be the nail in his coffin. Even the defense was just okay IMO. The defense was great against the weak teams they played so the stats are padded but anyone with a pulse on offense moved the ball just fine. See OU, Clemson, Miami, Virginia, and Wake Forrest.

The two 1000 yard rushers this season just blew me away. Did they have even one last year?

The last 1,000 yard rusher for FSU was Warrick Dunn in 1996. This year they'll have two behind that crappy O-line that gave them the 104th ranked rushing offense in the nation last year. Yeah, I know, delusioNOLE...

I heard Jeff Cameron on the radio today making excuses for this one. I just giggled to myself. He was claiming the game has changed and teams don't have that "one" back that gets ~20 touches a game anymore. There were 47 college backs last year that had 1,000 yard rushers.

I'll agree that you probably won't see an Emmitt Smith, Larry Johnson, Priest Homles, Eddie George type guy getting 30-40 touches a game in the NFL anymore. However, in college that's not an excuse. 47 guys did it last year. They could've at least had ONCE since 1996.

The Noles top RB's right now are trying overcome major injuries "broken back" and there is zero depth after that. All the Noles ever have is excuses. They'd have you believe Jimbo has only been the HC for two years even though he was hired as HCIW and Bobby had cancer. He's been in total control of that offense for 5 years and this will be his sixth and they've never impressed me. This is their year! :ibisroflmao:
