Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

They're dipping into the alumni well for their next HC.

Everybody knows who I'm referring to. His background is on the defensive side of the ball. His team has a much better record than most expected.

His name is Manny Diaz, the next HC at FSU.

Yes.

F$U administrators and AD saw everything they needed to see from Manny by the middle of the third quarter in the Duke-Miami game.

At that point, they turned off the TV and began drafting the offer letter...

That's right. Manny had already beaten FSU too.

If I could see Manny as HC at FSU and Golden as HC at UF, I would die a happy man.

FSU/ND line was Noles -4 before the season started.

Opened at -21.5 for the Domers on Sunday, quickly jumped to -24.5, and is now at -26.

They are down so, so bad.

I'm not going to post the link because I don't want to give him more views, but Bud Eliott saying that injuries are "absolutely a factor" in the season results is a new excuse that I haven't heard yet.

Edit: Never mind, here's the link if you care. LOL

The Nole fans just keep saying the same crap when it comes to us, "They wont have Cam after this year so its a one year wonder type year".."They arent winning the national title anyway either"..Its all they have to soften the blow of their horrible downfall..

that said..I guess it begs the question..How do you rebuild after this? a 2-10/3-9 season? How do you convince assistant coaches to sign up for this if they are not sure FSU will retain Norvall after next year if the doesnt win 8-9 games? IMO...isnt the ONLY solution to fire Norvall? And just hit the reset button? I know people are saying money is the issue..but man, you are going to lose even more money next season when ticket sales are lagging. You cant ask the fan base to pour more money into this. You basically have thrown in the towel for 2025 if you keep Norvall.
The only option is up double your NIL - or more. Go from $15M to $35M

Then adopt the Colorado model. 50-60 incoming players are going to be transfers in 2025.

The same will be true in 2026.

In the 2027 class, if you have shown strong progress you could begin to ramp down on transfers and switch the balance towards premium HS recruits.

Repeat in 2028.

Perhaps by 2029 you’ll have the kind of blended, capable team that Miami has now.

Yes.

It's not a one-year turnaround. It's just not. The damage has been done.

He MIGHT be able to pull off a two-year turnaround that will be just as fragile as what he did in 2022-2023.

He will need three full years to build a stable and sustainable turnaround. I'm not so sure that the F$U fans and admin are going to be that patient.
And the problem is for him to shift his focus, he needs to learn how to effectively do something after his fifth year there that he tried and failed at for the previous five years.

The only problem with that excuse is the players that are injured were responsible for their putrid play and offensive production ala DJU and OL Washington! Some noles think the replacements Suck a little less than the injured starters?! Both groups Suck Bad but at least the injuries have allowed their underclassmen to gain some experience while sucking!
