It's not just that FSU is the worst team in the P4 in both rushing efficiency and run blocking. The Seminoles are the worst by a decent margin. They're nearly a half-yard-per carry worse than the P4 team with the second-lowest YPC average (UCLA at 2.65 YPC) and 0.3 yards less than the second-lowest team in YPC/Before Contact.

At this rate, FSU is pacing to become the worst-performing P4 team in YPC/Before Contact in the nine seasons PFF (from TruMedia) has recorded the metrics. Out of 594 P4-P5 programs since 2016, FSU's 0.59 yards before contact is the lowest by far.

The next closest? Why, that would be the disastrous 2018 FSU offensive line at 0.82 YPC/Before Contact.
