The thing that both FSU and UF fans are not understanding is that we know Miami is still a work in progress in terms of getting back to being a championship team. I think going into the season, most Miami fans expected double digit wins but partly because of the schedule. However, is doing so was critical to keeping the 18 class in tact and continuing to build on it. However, this team and ranking are probably a year early. Once we keep building depth across the board like we have on the defensive line, that is when we will be back fully.

Agree with this. The national media is nitpicking the small contingent of our fanbase that thinks we're going to the playoffs and taking on Bama to win the whole thing. I'm more realistic on thinking 9-10 win season with winning the division title. If we win the ACC as well, that's a bonus.

We're a year or two away from having the depth that we need.

You're right, but acknowledging it would mean their narrative of Miami and Miami fans is flawed. They'll never do it.

FSU fans are so completely delusional! Those comments that FSU isn't some program that wins 9-10 games a year, but one that regularly wins national titles ... I can't think of a better description of their program than one that wins 9-10 a year. Their fans honestly think that the past 10 years that Miami has seen is the norm and not an exception, despite decades of evidence to the contrary.

Jimbo's buyout over $40M I think. He's not going anywherec

Turns out it would be cheaper for fsu to leave the ACC than to fire fisher.

"...Jimbo Fisher just a signed a contract extension with a buyout of roughly $40M. That is such a prohibitive sum, that there is no way a school could pay it this year, or any time soon. No school in the history of college football has paid anything close to that number."

Maybe their stadium is too far from campus?

I have a cousin who stays above some fsu students in Tallahassee. They told him they were at the game and left at then end of the 3rd with the rest of the student section....

That's hilarious considering FSU came back to tie the game in the 4th. Had Blackman not fumbled, they would've won the game. Silly Noles.

That's in their favor, IMO. Akers is much better than Patrick

Agree that as an athlete Akers > Patrick. But Patrick can be trusted to block...Akers not so much. That QB might get a few twigs broken this week

Patrick may be out for the year, significant knee injury. On crutches, didn’t practice today. I love it, I hope they go 2-9. I’ll go ahead and call the “upset” on the road at BC Friday for the whole nation to see.

Patrick Joyner, time for you to make the switch bruh.
