Is it true Norvell was hired in December of 2019 and as of April 2024 not a single kid he recruited from high school has been drafted in any round?
If not 0 (probably is) it’s very close to none.

Look at these crybabies with their propaganda
Pathetic

It is 0, in fact, lol.If not 0 (probably is) it’s very close to none.
It is 0. Although Renardo Green signed with FSU out of high school, he was not recruited by Norvell and was already enrolled at FSU before Norvell took the job. Now, as much as I loathe FSU, this next season will be Norvell's 5th full season as HC. His first true recruiting class will be seniors and juniors (COVID year). Let's see what happens in the 2025 draft. If not 0 (probably is) it’s very close to none.
It’s true, 9 of 10 NFL draft pics over the weekend for FSU are Transfer Portal players. Renardo Green was part of Willie Taggart’s 2019 recruiting class and signed his letter of intent with FSU in December of 2018, one year before Norvell was hired. Is it true Norvell was hired in December of 2019 and as of April 2024 not a single kid he recruited from high school has been drafted in any round?

fspoo not in the top 4? But, But, But...
That is the way. Hit both hard and use transfers to supplement and ensure that the lineup is tweaked to optimal efficiency. We have signed 27 high schools players (#4 class). We appear to be on our way to 13 transfer portal players, including a highly rated RB and the best transfer quarterback. So we aren’t allowed to get transfers because we recruit HS hard? Got it

FSU signed 23 high school players (#12 class) and 15 transfers. Ten of the latter were rated .9000 or above. They have nothing to complain to us about
Yes. It’s different now from when Mario joined Oregon. Players can leave at whim, or leave when they want bigger NIL. You cannot rely on a HS only model. It’s why I think Clemson will either reassess, invest absurdly large NIL investments that somehow tie players to schools for three to four years, or fall be the wayside.when the elite players are in the portal regardless of position you go for it

Yet they claim them as they developed. Wait when the new ones like cam and Martinez go to the nfl and Miami claims them . Rules will changeFSU whiffed on their HS recruiting with zero 5 stars. Maybe their reliance on the portal has given the impression to recruits that they don't develop.
It also lets trash coaches that would fail under old model like Norvell prosper. Dudes that cant evaluate DL or defense in general now see whos good and goes after them in the following portal year. Now u see a team like Ole Miss get some DL talent because they saw who was legit with cfb film not HS film. So now some coaches that would never win may have a chance now.Yes. All Norvell did was adopt the transfer model earlier and heavier - at the expense of development of younger players. It’s clear that FSU is devoting the bulk of its NIL resources to transfers. We’ll see how it works out in the long run.
Or coaches that inherited poor circumstances to have a second lease on life. Charlie Strong for instance might have had a significantly better tenure at UT if he could have used transfers and NIL. Ditto Al Golden when you consider Randy’s 2010 class had largely departed before the 2012 season began, and the 2011 class fell apart along with that UM season. facts, its a different era now and we are equipped for it. The last era was the age of social media and film being on deck and we sucked at it. Exactly. Apparently it bothers them that we do both so well. They should be happy, they can pick up our scraps that couldn't cut it here in the portal next year....then claim they stole them from Miami. So we aren’t allowed to get transfers because we recruit HS hard? Got it
