Let's also add this.
F$U fans are claiming "they can't see it" with Mario, yet he won the Pac 12 twice and played in the championship game a third time. So what are they not seeing? I get it if a person is uncertain whether Urban can translate non-P5 success to P5 success, or Jimbo.
And then on the other hand, they are soooooo confident about Norvell just needing a couple more years to turn things around. Based on what? The fact that he took a pretty good Memphis program and improved it by 1 more win per year? The fact that he is sub-.500 at F$U? The fact that he has lost two of the most high-profile "he's in the bag" recruits they've had in his tenure?
Look, we can be weak and say "every fanbase does this", but there is a difference between F$U fans ignoring Mario's very real P5 accomplishments while touting the non-accomplishments of Prison Mike Norvell, and this is not the same thing as initially questioning whether a head coaching hire, who has not coached in the P5, can make the transition.
Now, if Miami fans predicted that Urban Meyer would fail at Ohio State or that Jimbo would fail at aTm, maybe there would be a fair comparison. "Yeah, Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M, I'm not seeing it..."
