Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

Sure you can... We said Jimbo was a corch who was never going to win anything, and Urban wasn't ready for the big stage of the SEC... Fans cant look at their program rationally. These are the same people that think Norvell is great.
Urban was a great hire. I dont recall that at all.

Jimbo....unknown commodity.

Mario 100% has done more than the FSU and UF staffs though. This is objective fact.

It wasn’t the majority but I distinctly remember seeing posts like that on CS and Scout, as it made me cringe. You are right on the last statement but people aren’t objective.

Let's also add this.

F$U fans are claiming "they can't see it" with Mario, yet he won the Pac 12 twice and played in the championship game a third time. So what are they not seeing? I get it if a person is uncertain whether Urban can translate non-P5 success to P5 success, or Jimbo.

And then on the other hand, they are soooooo confident about Norvell just needing a couple more years to turn things around. Based on what? The fact that he took a pretty good Memphis program and improved it by 1 more win per year? The fact that he is sub-.500 at F$U? The fact that he has lost two of the most high-profile "he's in the bag" recruits they've had in his tenure?

Look, we can be weak and say "every fanbase does this", but there is a difference between F$U fans ignoring Mario's very real P5 accomplishments while touting the non-accomplishments of Prison Mike Norvell, and this is not the same thing as initially questioning whether a head coaching hire, who has not coached in the P5, can make the transition.

Now, if Miami fans predicted that Urban Meyer would fail at Ohio State or that Jimbo would fail at aTm, maybe there would be a fair comparison. "Yeah, Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M, I'm not seeing it..."

Nole fans downplay Miami having money now and spending like the top programs spend. They say **** like 'congrats on catching up to the rest of the country'. But next breath out of their mouth they're talking about how FSU winning 7-8 games is gonna be a game changer and put the whole country on notice. Like anyone notices a 7 or 8 win season. They're such a shell of their former selves. They used to want to run coaches out of town for 8 win seasons, now they dream of an 8 win season.

Let them continue to support this mediocrity. Let them give norvell another extension while they are at it. They got beat at home by Jax St and can't raise enough $ to have working urinals in their stadium. What makes it even sweeter is we know exactly where this road leads having been on it for 15+ years. So glad Mario has gotten us off this track

I wouldn't be shocked if some of here did it for a coach they had a hard on for, but can you imagine the backlash one would get for supporting a coach who was sub .500 his first two seasons? The guy tucked his tail between his legs and forfeited games in 2020 so he wouldn't take anymore L's.
