No Front 7 Talent On The Field

MOAR EXCUSES.....

look man you can keep blaming it on talent all you want 2 BICHO, but talent issues are still D'onofrios fault. What about that cant u comprehend? D'onofrio cant RECRUIT talent therefore he will never be able to bring in the talent he needs for his bs scheme to work.

Let it go, you can break it down all u want to but D'onofrio is garbage on all levels and needs to be fired.

Miami has more then enough talent at any position to step up in the ***n ACC gtfoh w/ all this bs about talent.

Our best interior lineman couldn't get on the field for terrible virginia.

Thats a fact, care to explain that away?

Bicho is listening

So just b/c Highsmith is garbage, that means that Bush, Jenkins, Howard, Gunter, Burns, and Crawford are no good either??? lol yeah right.

Just b/c Cornelius is garbage and Gaines is average, that means Perryman, Grace, and Kirby are no good?

all this talk about Renfrow is ridiculous....this staff wanted him to come in, he's not starting b/c our talent sucks, he's starting b/c being talentless is how to make it in this garbage scheme. He is a NT, his job isnt to make plays so he is doing his job just like Porter. You act like Renfrow is the problem w/ this D-line, the middle of the line isnt being pushed around, they arent suppose to make plays, THE END.

Luther Robinson got in trouble last year for making plays, we dont know if he's a jag or not, i know the coaches told him he isnt suppose to make plays in this scheme and he would have to deal with that in order to play.

Renfrow isn't the problem. The other guys are which is the whole point. The guy who can't get on the field for virginia and now starts for us isn't the problem. Thats scary isn't it?

Whos fault is it UM is relying on Renfrow to be an impact player? Why havent better players been recruited at certain positions. UCLA had young guys playing all over the place, yet they get it done. Jim Mora is getting it done. Meanwhile UM just lost to a tech team that got beat by duke. I thought golden was a very good recruiter under the circumstances not great. But you look at some of the kids he has brought to UM thus far, and either they are no longer with the program or have not made any noticable impact. Look at kids he has been outrecruited for and alot of those guys are making impacts at whichever schools they chose.

Pj Williams-Fsu starting corner, couldve been either a safety or corner at UM
Eddie GOldman-Starting 3-4 end fsu
Matt Thomas-Couldve helped this year
Denver Kirkland-Starting on the oline at arkansas
Jake Ruddock-Starting Qb at Iowa, couldve provided relief for Morris since coaches feel Williams isnt good enough to take over for an INJURED morris.
Jayron Kearse-Safety at Clemson
Levonte Whitfield-Receiver
Reggie Northrup-Couldve helped at linebacker
Tarean Folston-Balling at ND as a freshman runningback
Alex Collins-SMH
Rashard Robinson-Couldve helped somewhere at db
Eddie Jackson-Couldve helped somewhere at db
LAvon Hooks-People say Ole miss brought on the checkbook. No proof
Jaynard Bostwick-Couldve provided some depth as a 3-4 end
Avery Young
Leanord Williams
Darius hamilton

The list goes on.

We run a 3-4 and thats the only similarity to Alabama. Bama is the best coached most fundamental defense in the land. They have arguably the best blitz schemes on 3rd down in CFB.

Its an insult to even compare us to them. Bamas worst defense in Sabans first year is better than our best defense under Golden. Their defensive rankings over the years. 31st, 3rd, 2nd, 5th, 1st, 1st, 6th.

Those who support D'onofrio by saying "the talent is the issue" need to wake up.... the "lack of talent" excuse is his fault too.

This isnt his 1st year on the job where we all say, "he needs time to get the players he needs" bs.... Dorito has been here for 3 ***n years and hasnt brought in anyone except Thurston Armbrister and didnt recruit him, just offered him late.

Bama, FSU, and Florida's Defensive Coordinators are elite recruiters as well as coaches.... before Pruitt FSU had Stoops at DC who was also an elite recruiter.

That's how you build an elite team, you need elite recruiters.... Miami doesnt have any on the defensive side of the ball outside of Barrow.

James Coley is going to have this offense loaded w/ talent and he has to recruit defense as well.... this defense is going to continue to have the "lack of depth and talent" excuse b/c everybody has to do D'onofrio's job for him. He's pathetic and needs to go.

Their has basically been 2 true recruiting cycles for this staff. How can you build a front 7 with players who are all either freshmen or sophmores at the most phycially demanding positions?

Miami has veteran talent along the D-line they arent being used in ways that best fit their talents.... Chick is more of a 4-3 DE, he's been asked to get bigger and bigger instead of focusing on what made him a good DE which was his motor and quickness of the LOS.

Now he has to turn himself into a 3-4 DE, which means he needs to put on another 10 pounds which will make him even less athletic b/c it's forcing something that isnt. (square peg round whole)

Curtis Porter, Luther Robinson, and Olsen Pierre would look a lot better in a defense like VTs where their jobs is to shoot the gaps, disrupt the line and make plays.... all D'nofrio wants them to do in his scheme is hold the point of attack and stay in ur gaps b/c the LBs are going to be too far off to help contain anything underneath.

the younger talent is going to look the same way in this defense, talent is going to always be the excuse no matter who is on this roster.

Please..... You mean to tell me everyone on this list didnt come to UM because of sanctions that werent even anounced.

It certainly didn't help.

A school self banning from 2 bowls with an unknown future vs a school that doesn't have those things going on is a tough sell

4 of the 7 players in FSU's front seven are underclassmen and the back of their defense isn't all that more experienced.

If your veterans suck that bad, put in the players you recruited and have developed. If those guys are worse, well that's on you, recruit better.

You can't just change the scheme for one season cuz the talent sucks. Golden has always taken the long term approach. We are recruiting certain types of players to fit his scheme. You can't just be switching schemes around when you are trying to develop your young talent into the scheme we are eventually trying to run.

We are 7-2 with this crappy D and if we stop with dumb turnovers can get to 10 wins which would be a great season no matter what compared to the expectations coming in.

If we beat pitt, duke, and virginia we are likely chick fila bowl bound. FSU, BCS title game, Clemson BCS at large, Miami Chick Fila. Va Tech will lose to FSU and have 4 losses.

Drop another game and it will be a middle of december bowl game.

How about changing the scheme after three seasons?

I was on here defending Dorito earlier in the week. This after 2012 where he fielded the worst Miami D ever. 3 of the last 4 teams have gained 500 yards against us. Duke are going to do that too.

You listen/read his interviews and it's all about players missing their assignments. That's on the DC and the position coaches. The scheme is obviously too complex for them. Simplify it - put them in positions to make plays.

All of Miami's current defensive roster w/o Highsmith, would look a lot more talented in VTs or Florida's scheme.

So none of our front seven could start for all those other teams that shut down Wake and VT? Seriously? Just stop....

Our best DT this year couldn't start for virginia so maybe yes

Well there you go...point made. I guess you are right. Since one DT is playing here but not at Virginia then no one on our front Seven could start for ECU (15), Marshall (29), GT (17), UNC (27), Pitt (19), Duke (10), BC (27).....in parenthesis are the points those monster D's gave up to the Juggernaut VT offense.

The same front 7 obviously couldn't start for any of Wake's opponents either since our D gave up more points to them Louisina Monroe, and Syracuse (shutout!).

Keep blaming talent...that ships sinking fast, don't be the last one off.
