Kids a savage n people complaining. Watch the film he's always read to throw he reminds me of teddy....n he's going to have a good team around him.....if that French kid can at at FSU this kid can at here
 
He's got good feet in the pocket, which is important. He can definitely wiggle out of trouble back there but I wouldn't call him an outright dual threat. He'll run when he has to but the kid wants to throw the ball.

He also throws well on the run, which is also important since you can bet your *** Richt will have to cut the field in half and simplify things for him at first, assuming he starts out of the gate.

Good arm strength as well. The thing these highlights won't tell you is how consistent he is with his accuracy and how quickly he can process information on the field...which happen to be THE two most important traits for a QB in my opinion.

Either way, good looking prospect.

Anyone else think his film looks similar to Jacorys coming out of NW? Great deep ball accuracy and can put great touch on the ball when he needs to.

(Yes I don't have a lot of posts, but Ive been around for a bit).

That's basically all modern day college football is. Shotgun, single reads, RPO, read option, tuck it and run.

Exactly. These cats think this is the NFL. If he can gain some weight and kaaya leaves he will play next year

When our offense looked its best this season that's all Kaaya was doing. Shot gun and get the ball out on a slant, hitch, bubble or an occasional deep ball. We weren't running a lot of complex schemes.

Yup. It seemed like Kaaya finally got it out the end of the year. Pre snap read, find your receiver and put the ball on them. He missed some of the most simplest throws that freshman QBs around the nation are hitting on a weekly basis

I don't know why they negged you. Perry's tape looks very similar to Jacory's. Bunch of deep balls.

You gotta understand something, the average fan just likes flash. "Ooooh deep balls! Touchdowns! He's a stud!" Meanwhile he's just chucking the ball up to relatively wide open WR's.

Truthfully, this tape doesn't show me **** except that Perry can play backyard football. The Weldon kid's tape is by far more impressive.

Not saying Perry can't be good, he's obviously gifted, but nothing about his tape shows me that he's ready for the mental aspect of playing QB at this level. Doesn't look like he was coached much at all.
You watch the Weldon tape and you see a kid who has excellent footwork, who gets the ball out of his hands in a hurry and throws ropes all over the field (not just vertical).

Film not equal. Nkosi flashes more armstrength. Never saw Jacory flick longballs with his wrist like Nkosidid a couple times.

This! I don't know who will be the better of the two, but I'm so tired of this fan base crowning a kid before steps foot on campus. And the one crowning him now, will be the first ones calling him a bust after his first interception. Then after his first touchdown, they'll go back and say told you he would be great. STFD
 
Truth is, majority of our fans aren't going to judge Perry objectively because they're sold on the dream that he's our savior. Weldon could have the best QB tape in the entire country and they'd still think Perry is that dude. Same **** we saw/heard when Jacory was coming out.

Let's wait until he gets here.

With kids like him it all depends on the system. If we plug him into a well-oiled spread attack then he might look awesome. But if he gets here and we ask him to make full-field reads and do a bunch of "pro" **** then we might have another J12 on our hands.
