Nick Brahms OG/C

no more ignorant posts , especially since this kid has 27 offers( and growing )and is going to Oregon for the opening finals and yes we are signing a guard and a center this class..get used to it

We only have 3 tackles on this team only one of which is battle tested. . Donaldson is going to be G making that about 10 guards being on the roster next year. So no...no more guards till we cut 2-3 of these guys.
3 tackles?? Bar Milo is a tackle, so is Tyree St.louis, Sunny Odugwu, and Trevor Darling not to mention Tre Johnson is coming in as well that's 5 and we're only taking 4-5 linemen...btw who told you Navaughn Donaldson is going to play guard?? If that was so true we wouldn't be heavily recruiting Robert Hainsey( that's why he put us in his top 10 and told rivals we're one of his favorites) Navaughn is the perfect RT in CMR's offensive scheme and Navaughn being moved to guard all depends on who we sign.

Trevor darling is not a tackle he just plays one here....do u even watch the games? And tre johnson is a project. Everything ive read about navaugh suggest he projects as a guard.....said by multiple analyst. Hes def not a LT. It remains to be seen if we even have a true LT yet. I hope milo or st louis can step up.

Your logic is dead-*** wrong. You don't turn away kids who could be difference makers, and this is one of the best interior OL tapes we've seen in a while. If there is a numbers crunch you force out Mahoney or Loftus' goofy ***.

Im all for that...i stated earlier we need to drop 2-3 OL this cycle. As it stands we have 15 returning OL...2 committed and if you add brahms early thats 18 OL...tell me how were going to snag a top OT when they see 18 OL on roster. We need to cut the dead weight after the spring before we load up on anymore guards.

Loftus, Jahair Jones, Mahoney, Grimsley all need to be shown the door.

In due time, really think after spring practice we're going to be in for a bunch of top tier guys when they have a month just for recruiting

Nick Brahms received an offer tonight, he's also now a 4* star on every site but Rivals

Bro - i have to give you crazy props. You had this guy as a must offer before we even offered. Looks like we are in serious contention now.

I like this recruit! He's going to be a **** good one

why do I think someone named Leatherwood looks like a cartoon lumberjack? Chopping down redwoods with one swing...recruit that kid on name alone.

Go Canes!

Unfortunate news about 2017 Nick Brahms he broke his leg and tore several ligaments an now in reading the article it seems like Auburn is already starting up the 2 step media spin machine to pull Nick Brahms offer. Stay Classy Auburn and at least see how Brahms has recovered by December since he wanted to be an early enrollee, before starting speculation about him not signing with Auburn. We know Miami would honor his offer and role him onto a medical scholarship they way UM did with Linebacker Josh Witt.

4-star OL recruit Nick Brahms breaks leg; out for entire 2016 season

AUBURN – One of Auburn’s star offensive line prospects in the 2017 recruiting class has suffered a broken fibula and will miss his entire senior season.

Nick Brahms, a four-star offensive guard recruit from Navarre, Florida, suffered a broken leg Tuesday during a preseason practice session at Navarre High School. 247Sports.com was the first to report this news.

“He got rolled up in a pile,” Navarre High School head coach Jay Walls told the Penascola News-Journal. “Unfortunately it’s an injury that happens in football. It was nobody’s fault.”

Multiple outlets are reporting Brahms injury also includes ligament damage and he is expected to miss the entire 2016 season and it is unknown what his prognosis will be if he maintains his verbal pledge and arrives on Auburn’s campus next fall.

Brahms has already had surgery to correct the bone break and further prognosis is unknown at this time.

Someone fell on it from the side and I broke my fibula and tore a few ligaments,” Brahms told the Northwest Florida Daily News. “I’m not sure how long I'll be out.”

Brahms committed to Auburn in July after being primarily recruited by Tigers offensive line coach Herb Hand over scholarship offers from Miami, Mississippi State, North Carolina and Tennessee. The 285-pound prospect committed at The Opening, which is Nike’s premier summer camp that features more than 160 of the top football prospects in the nation.

Brahms was the third highly-ranked offensive line recruit to join Auburn’s 2017 recruiting class, which is ranked in the Top 15 according to Rivals.com, that also includes five-star offensive tackle Calvin Ashley and four-star offensive tackle Austin Troxell.

Witt was already enrolled when he got his last concussion....not saying it's right or wrong what Auburn appears to be doing, but it's not the same as Witt.

Being an offensive lineman this will not matter on speed. Only thing I can think it would impact is his bending the knees. Anybody have an idea how much that could be impacted? I hope we can still stay on him.

Curtis Justus (sp?) would be a better comparison than Witt. Justus was that TE from OK we signed even after he destroyed his knee in an all star game

Cot dang this leatherwood kid is an absolute savage. Mauler and savage mentality to boot.
