It can't be accomplished? Guys have done it, so it's pretty odd that it can't be done.

And it's too late to pull a Weinke. Thompson already started the eligibility clock by accepting a scholarship at UM last year.

Most guys that did were far and away the best QB option on the team, they also didn't miss their entire first year of practice due to a rotator cuff injury.
