"Duke. I can't believe I selected Duke for this spot, but that's the world we live in for the 2014 season. I'm sure North Carolina will be a trendy pick and Miami certainly has the most talent on the field, but there are still a lot of question marks for both. The Blue Devils will have quarterback Anthony Boone back to team with Jamison Crowder and the defense should continue to be OK overall. They get UNC at home and an early trip to Miami isn't one of the tougher ones in the league, so the schedule is a solid help as well.


Its a shame how far we've fallen when people are constantly picking Duke and UNC(why are they getting so much love?) over us.

we had the most talent last year too. kirk herbstreit even said it last year that duke had better coaching. this staff is the worst among all the big college football programs and some small ones.

I think they are wrong. I do understand that Duke has better coaching, because Cutcliffe has done it all in College football. But that shouldnt replace the fact, that we are bigger, faster and stronger at every position. But they beat us last year, so naturally "analysts" are going to say they own us and will do the same thing next year. I think its ridiculous though. We have them at home earlier in the season, I think we mop the floor with them. But UNTIL we do that, and not a moment sooner, we will be perceived as a weaker team..LOL, bs.

This is all funny, I remember reading how great of a coach our basketball coach was when he beat Duke and UNC with a Senior led team that was recruited by the guy before him. Also, water will always find it's level. Just let Duke in basketball, Duke in football will find its appropriate level. Everyone can get lucky, especially when you look what our program has had to deal with the past decade. We can live in, WE are the U, will should just throw our jersey's out there and we will win. For the record, I hated the Duke game, yes we should have one, it happens sometimes. It also is on the players as well. Duke Johnson is leading a players revolt is the coach f-up like they did in that game last year, that's leadership and we lacked that with the seniors that hit the road.

They've done more in the past ten years to indicate they could win the coastal than we have because they have actually done it.
