NFL analyst Gil Brant on QB Morris' struggles

I swear I have yet to see anyone who even thinks the game will be close, most are predicting and ***-whipping, are we all just blind homers?

HYPE HYPE HYPE...what has better ring to it nationally FSU vs Alabama or Oregon vs Alabama.
The storylines Nice Saban vs his former apprietice. Saban went after Jamies Winston hard, he knows everything about the kid's makeup.

To sell it in the minds of the voters to move these guys up.

Not one person is taking into account style of play and matchups. they are looking at it one sided. FSU offense is better than our defense. I will stand by this, their defense is vastly overrated. They are great at forcing turnovers. But they are running a 3-3-5 which is built to take on spread teams. We ARE going to run on these fools. It will come down to Morris Not turning the ball over.

I can't wait to see Sentrell and Erick Flowers get their hands on that little rat Joyner. FSU's toughness has not been tested. I don't know if we are going to get a chance to test that but I hope we do.

I dont buy this argument. If they were really trying to build hype for FSU, they would being saying that Miami is a very good team to make it look better if FSU wins. Everyone has been saying Miami is a pretender, that doesn't help FSU's case at all for jumping Oregon if they were to beat a pretender.

Yup, us being mega underdogs is only good for Oregon. If we beat FSU it's a gianormous upset, if they crush us it's what everyone expected anyway. It's lose-lose for them as far as their BCS case is concerned. Especially if Oregon comes out on Thursday and beats up Stanford.

FSU has ZERO shot of going to a BCS title game unless Alabama or Oregon lose.

They aren't hyping FSU, they are hyping Jameis Winston (who makes plays but really throws up a lot of jump balls, his receivers are bailing him out majorly). Johnny Manziel isn't creating the buzz on TV for the talking heads so they are trying to find a new guy to swoon over. They gotta build him up. The more they build him up the more they can talk about him win or lose. If he wins and gets Heisman or championship they can hype about him all off season for next year. If he loses then it will be the great fall. ESPN 101.

Also, if we win it will be a huge story to write about. The massive underdogs, this years Notre Dame, Duke Johnson the hero etc.

This. Seems like almost all his TD throws have been just fly routes were his wide outs are just more athletic and run past the defense and get the ball. I truly expect are secondary primarily our corners to come up big and not make things so easy for Winston

Ankle injury, simple as that.

Once scouts sit down w/ him and realize that was the issue he'll move back up the draft boards.

EJ Manuel wasnt impressive during his senior year, but after the season is when he became the 1st overall QB prospect in the draft.

I question why the Hurricanes didn't play him more as a sophomore in 2011 after he showed such promise as a freshman.

Thank you.. Said it back then and will say it now, Golden's biggest blunder to date was starting Jacory over Morris in 2011.

That was meant as a slight against Morris....not Golden.

you are so delusional! Go check out Barry Jackson's blog on the herald, every scout in the nation says he sucks!

Good thing they still play the game....another good thing that AG keeps them focused on the internal and not what these mofos write.

Again....that wasn't a slight on Golden and Staff.....it was a shot at Morris. Like "why the **** couldn't he beat out Jacory Harris"?

There are other red flags for Morris. I question why the Hurricanes didn't play him more as a sophomore in 2011 after he showed such promise as a freshman. One would think that a guy returning after playing well in limited action would play more the following season. It's interesting that Morris did not win the starting job.

if that's how you want to read it great.
But there was quite a few folks that questioned the move back then beginning with guys like Herbstreit, Torretta etc/

People keep claiming FSU is so great at forcing turnovers. If they're great then what is Miami? FSU has 10 INT's and Miami has 12. FSU has 4 fumble recoveries and Miami has 7.

The only area FSU is trumping Miami right now is style points. They've won games better than Miami has. Miami has yet to play a full game and FSU is bound to have a bad game.
