who you got?

I'm going with Ryan Williams. Why?
Threw for 2,455 yards and 26 touchdowns as a senior at Miramar High...Completed 175 of 282 pass attempts...Set a state record with five touchdown passes in the State Championship game against DeLand, breaking the previous record set by Tim Tebow...Named Beef O'Brady's MVP of the 6A State Championship game...Completed 18 of 21 pass attempts for 254 yards and five touchdowns in leading MHS to its first-ever state title...The 85.7% completion rating set a record, and made him the only QB to hold two state records...Led squad to a 14-1 record and a Class 6A state title.
As a True Freshman at Memphis started 10 games threw for 2075 yards 56.9% 13 tds 10ints while being sacked 31 times.
Winner and performs under pressure without turning the ball over.
For comparison sake, as a Senior Morris started 12 games threw for 2868 yards 58.7% 21tds 12ints while only being sacked 13 times.

I think we will be just fine.

Ryan's ream do doubt......Grey as 2nd and baby jesus a close 2nd......

with our oline being rebuilt could be a rough yr back there.....

I hope Olsen wins the job, and I think Golden wants him to win it.

However, he can't hand him the job. If it's close, I'm afraid the tie goes to the Senior.

People point to the defense and talk about JAGs and lack of talent - do you want to start the 2-star kid whose most impressive offer was Memphis, or a 4-star kid in Olsen who was an Elite 11 guy and could have basically named his school?

I'd even throw Kayaa in over Williams. Another 4-star guy who has USC and UCLA hot on his ***, and was also invited to the Elite 11 camp.

Put the talent on the field.

Olsen went by Crow already. Going to be a battle, but I'd make Olsen a slight favorite over Williams.

I think the star argument falls short here. The 2 star kid in question is a 5th year senior who has 10 college starts and 16 total game appearances. The two 4 star recruits are a true and redshirt freshman, neither of which has seen the field beyond high school.

The good thing about this issue is that it will solve itself.

For me, I just think our roster management will be so much cleaner if Ryan Williams CAN WIN THE JOB. That gives us a heady, 5th year senior leader who's been in the program for 4 years at QB. This allows Kaaya and Olson to have their true and RS freshman year to learn, grow and develop. Then they battle it out in 2015. If one of the younger kids wins the starting job in 2014 we risk losing one of them to a transfer. (this isnt our father's college football era. Kids find backup plans these days).

OL being rebuilt? I beg to differ.
LT Flowers/Odugwo
LG Feliciano/Gall/Darling/Wells
C McDermott/Linder/Knighton
RG Isadora/Bunche/Gadbois
RT Bunche/McDermott/Gibbons

Redshirt Kaaya, start Williams, bring in Olsen to mop up and get him some experience. If Williams works out fine - if not bring in Olsen as the starter.

Was up in Jersey over Thanksgiving, spoke to a couple of people who know HS football up there - they say Olsen is the real thing - he brought his Wayne Hills HS to a number 3 national ranking before he was hurt. Supposedly cool in the pocket, great vision, cerebral game, and tough enough to tuck it and run.
