Next week final rankings and potential 5 stars for 2018

I was a little surprised that Scaife and Silvera weren't mentioned as getting bumped up to 5 star status in the final Rivals ranking next week. These guys balled all season, in every camp they attended and in their bowl games, also noted that they were considering Campbell and NPF for 5 star status.

Barton Simmons said Nesta Silvera and Mark Pope are in the discussion for a 5th star on the 247 ranking. Said he think Lingard stays where he is and that Brevin will get a jump but not a 5th star.
 
They said that some on their analyst staff think cuz gives up too many big plays. WTF??? Have they been watching the right guy all year??? Just goes to show how thorough their "analysis" of some of these kids are...
 
I was scratching my head after I read that Rattler, maybe they had him confused for NPF, talk about getting beat on every other play, lol. Campbell's been a shutdown corner all year.

These sites don't like bumping committed players to 5 star status. Articles about committed players don't attract the same amount of clicks as "Uncommitted 5 star narrows it down to 5 schools" -- and just like that you have every bozo from 5 schools clicking on the article.
 
If NPF doesn't drop then these rankings will lose whatever small sliver of credibility they previously had. Dude was getting beat like a drum all night in that UA game.

Whether they give the kid fifth star or not he's a stud and instant imoact player next season. Kids the best TE recruit in the country and will start here early in his career.

not gonna go that far but imo 5 star talents include lingard, pope, hightower, jordan , silvera, and scaife of those we have committed.
 
Some of you have inflated views of what a 5* is. Lingard, Pope, and Nesta for sure.

DTs and OL are really hard to project, star-wise. All I know is that Kul thinks Nesta is the best DT in the country, and I'd have a hard time arguing with that.

For me, it's Lingard, Nesta, Pope, and Campbell. Even if we don't sign Campbell for some reason, that's more 5* recruits than Miami has signed in the last 4 years I think...

So you dont think scaife is a 5 star? that kid dominates every time he gets a chance to compete against the other so called studs. I think hes top 3 ol overall hands down and a 5 star. he along with silvera are the most important recruits for me

Did they confuse Pat Jr with Ty in the title game? Only one giving up TD's was Mr Big Time. Wonder if they watched the Army game too.

I think Scaife is a beast - I think he'll be in the 2-deep immediately and a starter sooner than later. He's a 5* in my book, if not in 247/ESPN/Rivals'...
