Figs, Kirby, Perryman (hopefully), and Grace will be a much more athletic and dynamic set of LB's next year where hopefully we can start to cover the middle of the field.
they may be but any offense will pick them apart if our front 7 continues to be a cess pool
Yeah usually a kid with great ball skills ends up on offense. Seems to be a trend with many DBs.Good athletes but their ball skills need work.
I know I'm in the minority here, but the prospect of Artie getting some burn at safety really intrigues me. The guy is more aggressive than I thought. We desperately need a rangy, fast safety.
True, and don't get me wrong, I am very optimistic about this group. I'm just saying that at times they look like the keystone cops when a ball is in the air (i.e., running into each other; not sure whether to play the man or the ball; not finding the ball in the air, etc). Some of that is youth, and some of that is just Highsmith who fortunately will be gone next year. I just hope our coaches can help these guys reach their potential.Yeah usually a kid with great ball skills ends up on offense. With the jump we have already seen from year 1 to year 2, without a healthy Deon, I think we should expect big things from this group next year no doubt.
Jenkins has not looked that fast imo.

I was in the same boat with Deon. I really didn't want to see him moved to safety because I thought he could be an elite corner but I admit it was a good move. Artie is bigger than I thought he was, and actually looks like he has a safety build. It's tough until you actually see them out there, but I could see it.
Not unless we get pressure on the QB up front.
They are all legit. Playing them in a soft bend don't break D is not helping us to get the full of their potential
