New WR Offer

this is actually funny. Make the offer mean something.

George Pickens isnt some kinda sleeper. Dude has been offered by the entire country since his jr year.

Wouldn't be surprised if this is a little bit of a shot at Haselwood. Pickens is his teammate on Cam Newton's 7v7 team.

Its lazy.

As I've been "jokingly" posting...Richt is legit doing the equivalent of ALL PROSPECTS > Sort by Lock % in NCAA. Its lazy. He's not even really evaluating players.

After Early Signing Day, you should be GRINDING. Really trying to make the offer count and really evaluating whats left. With Early Signing Period now a real thing, some teams have adapted, some have not...its clear...we have not. You can't just go try and cherry pick App State or USF commits anymore when you swing and miss on everything. Those guys are now signed, sealed, and delivered.

Given Mark & Son are in charge of offense and QBs, do we really need WRs? I’m thinking wishbone whould be what we agree thinking about. Makr likes old plays anyway.
I think wishbone might still have one WR. Can't we do better and eliminate WR entirely?

CMR goes back 30 years...how about an early '50's look?

They probably ignored him thinking it was a waste of time. Sometime a school will start recruiting when a kid shows interest. Maybe he has. We don't know. I've seen it happened.

Once again should've offered earlier. Kid seems like he's looking for a way out of Auburn. Need to offer Arjei Henderson too but didnt TJ Jones set up an ov for January already?
They might not have recruited if they were not aware of his interest, despite the fact he's a national name. I've been following recruiting long enough to know you don't just offer every blue-chips name. You still have to evaluate him for your own program.

We started recruiting Kevin Williams back in the '80's after he showed interest in us. Same with D.J. Johnson. wish Johnson would have stayed.

Kids don’t even mention Miami in the state of Alabama. I would be absolutely shocked if this kid somehow ended up at Miami.
How much talent is there in Alabama? Doesn't Satan get a high percentage of his players from outside the state?

How the **** is a panic offer to the 7 on 7 teammate of a kid who used you like a tampon to get his bags up a “shot” at Bagglewood?

Overall Bama HS football is good. You know as well as I do, Nicky gets 90+% of the kids he wants from inside and outside the state.

This was a down year in the state, but you typically see a couple 5 stars and 15-20 four stars most years. So Bama has to go out of state to complete classes every year.

Outside of Hightower.

I don't see anything that would make me want to stop with just Payton. Granted Payton maybe a star but we need to try and land someone else.

Injuries happen. Along with transfers and we got a bunch of WR that can't make plays. Losing Richards and then Thomas. Dropped a pretty **** good WR duo starting the year. Too a pretty horrible group of guys.
I think Njoku is a sleeper this year that comes on next season as an assassin. Kid is uber athletic and has serious height. Think he will be a huge upgrade to the Cager/Langham position.
