NEW VIDEO ---> 2003 Canes vs Gators. The Comeback.

Man it really is crazy that not too long ago we were literally unbeatable. Hate to be that guy to bring it up but I wonder where we would be without the catastrophic set back that was Randy Leonard Shannon. (I wish him nothing but the best. He was a great player and a great DC here for us, just didn't have the right tools to make it as a HC). Either way I am proud and excited to say that I 100% believe we are on our way back to that level.

And we are going back to that level of domination with or without a few of these SoFla recruits each year that think they are too good for us. I can't wait to kick their teeth in, especially the absolute traders that chose FSU over us as they grew up in and around Miami as "cane fans."

1) Never forget Ryan Moore catching the 2 pt and pointing to the U on his helmet. Probably the only thing that I remember about that guy that I want to remember

2) I know it's said over and over over again, but got dammit #26 was just a ******* baller. All over the field, all night long. Every play it seems like he's near the ball or they're purposely trying to get away from 'em. People should NEVER compare any football player to him, because there will never be another. Dude was really one of a kind.

This was one of the best sporting events I have ever been to, and definitely the best football game. I had a buddy at the time who was on the training staff for the Gators so he gave me tickets that were in the Gators players family section. I was the only Cane in the whole section. Once Hester had that opening kickoff I was going crazy, and the dad for the backup QB (I wanna say josh portis?) and someone related to Ingle Martin were ****ed off at my trash talking. It was back and forth the whole game, and so much **** fun. Mad respect for Brock Berlin.

Gotta keep those great SF kids at home. We need to beat UFi this year and win 11 games. Win baby, just win!

Not even sure it was the wrong time, it was IMO the wrong coaches. He played out of the gun since his freshman year in HS and in Fl up to that point. He was not an under center QB, out dumb *** coaches forced him into playing under center. After that game, it was clear he played lights out in the gun. The coaches weren't smart enough to improvise and use the best qb we had at the time to his strengths. I was hated over at grassy for saying Brock was a great QB with dumb *** coaches, who didn't have a **** clue.

If Brock had been around in this era he would have gotten alot more respect. Buddy just came around the wrong time. Followed a Hurricane legend. Kinda like Craig Erickson but no ship'. But buddy never lost to FSU or FLA and gave us some **** good memories. Hes alright in my book. Cheers, Brock. (Lifting patron shot.)

WOW.. I don't think I was able to appreciate the talent on display that night as much as I do now in retrospect.
And Brock Berlin fulfilled the meaning of his athletic life that night. What a game that no better script could have been written for him.

I almost cried watching. First year I had season fix with my dad. I thought that was how all the games were!

Amazing how much better Brock was out of the shotgun as opposed to under center. That game changed when we basically went K Gun all second half.

Best sporting event I've ever attended. The Wez was insane that night.

I agree, I was in the WEZ that night. What a ****** game

This was the third home game I took my then-gf/now-wife to. We were sitting in the lower WEZ under the overhang, so when Hester scored, we could not hear ourselves think. Just defeaning and the old girl was shaking from one end to the other.

Thanks for the memories 'Freak, always love your work.
