New Stacy Coley Freshman Highlights

Maybe the smoothest runner I've ever seen. Dead serious

Just going to post something similar to this, man I love watching him run. He improves his hands and he will be an All-American next year.

His running is incredibly smooth and fast. He really does have to work on his hands....my only concern. Nothing 5,000 practice tosses can't turn around in the offseason.

Best natural offensive weapon I've seen in many years. Kid just has that something which you just can't teach. Knows how to set up his blocks...and his speed, wiggle, cutback ability and vision are all elite. In my opinion he is much better than Sammy Watkins...and it isn't even close.

Kid is a beast, man I really hate that we missed out on Watkins but this young man is better than all of them.Elite, I mean Andre Johnson type of elite. I really like our wrs core.I like our wide outs better than the Seminoles, I just wish Morris was more consistent.

The feeling I get when I currently watch Coley is the same feeling I got when I game-prepped for him during his Sophomore year of high school and reviewed several of his games.

Dude is playing at a different speed than everybody else. He makes it look effortless. I watched him run a reverse against Boyd Anderson his Sophomore year and it looked just like the Pitt play. Dude was gliding past everybody on BA. I'm watching the play and saying to myself "this is Boyd Anderson he's out-running like that". SMH

I have the opinion that truly "elite" players don't just make occasional plays, they make their opponents look stupid and are a level above almost everybody they play against. That's how it's always been with elite players. Andre Johnson, Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee, Frank Gore, Kellen Winslow, etc. That's the feeling I get with Coley. He's a level above everybody he plays against.

Good point wildcat,Coley just seems to be playing at a different speed than the other guys even in college. I felt that way about Andre Johnson,Willis McGahee and Frank Gore before he got hurt. Back in the glory days we had 4 or five guys on every team team with that type of speed.

Funny thing is...

I don't ever remember him being highly touted as a speed guy in high school. He was never really a stopwatch guy IMO. But the eye in the sky don't lie. When you turn on that tape, he's flying by people. When the lights come on he's a track star.

He kinda reminds me of Hester in a way. Hester wasn't really a stopwatch guy either. Ran a mid 4.4 forty but on the field he was a 4.2 guy. Football speed. I'm guessing that Coley would clock no better than a 4.4 on a watch. (not that that's slow or anything, but you know what I mean)

So you're saying Duke isn't special....?

Duke is as close as you can get to being special without being special.
