New Soccer Stadium

Everyone always mentions Tropical Park as being ideal. I don't think I've ever seen anyone say that it isn't ideal. So is it just a matter of admin not really wanting to do this ($), or are there problems with TP that dont' get discussed?

It's the $$. Even the stadium they are talking about in the 50K range will cost north of $500M in the Miami area. With a partner to split the cost in someway, that helps.

They will not build a 50K seat soccer stadium. read the paper

I readed the paper. Not stuck on 25k. it will be considered the expansion . The footprint allows it The issue is to adjust the design for 45k- 50K. from current 25k design, but need additional events and/or UM's involvement. We have an opportunity, if UM approaches this. My information is very legit.

You lost me at "I readed the paper."

Aren't there a lot of cruise passengers coming and going on Saturdays during football season? The concept of a stadium on Dodge Island just seems weird to me.

Beckham wants a bigger stadium to host as many EPL and South American teams as he can.

All year really. That is apparently part of the draw for him and his group. The constant foot traffic would be big for the proposed shops and eateries. I'm not sure how this would work but the admin needs to jump on it as early as possible.
