New recruiting approach

UM had a great recruiting advantage with their attitude and bod boy image. The connection to former players and having them on the sidelines was great. UM brass wanted a good boy image rather than letting the team embrace something that let them stand out and was an identity even though the players were not thugs. Us against the world built a team, now we appear to have segments within a squad. Players want a brand, we had one and did everything possible to separate ourselves from it. UM being great while being looked at as thug U was great for college football.

The chain brought excitement and energy back to the D, something still lacking from the O. The team needs to find an identity, and show they are having fun on the field. Winning is important and putting players in the league is important, but at their value not as UFA's or low pick who become stars. We have to show we can coach and develop talent.

Until we take care of the issues within the program it will be hard to recruit. It is easy to recruit against us right now, bags or not.

I agree. I would also recruit jersey, pa, and Ohio as hard as I recruit Florida. It's a ton of kids who want to get away from home and end up at Florida Georgia Michigan ect.

New Recruiting Strategy:

- No Silent Commits (credit poster above)
- Kid wants bags, cut from recruiting board and run ASAP (credit poster above)
- Recruit Plan B's HARD and don't stop if he a Plan A commits in their stop. Maintain strong contact, visits, etc. even if difficult because they cant commit right away
- Line up Plan B's & C's from get go. Stop waiting till we spurned on early signing day from Plan A's to start looking for Plan B's
- ******* OWN the Grad Transfer market. Staff should be refreshing that transfer portal 10x day and flinging out offers hard if we have open scholly spots
- Recruit nationally from Day 1. There are Brevin Jordon / Deejay Dallas types but you have to find them early and push hard
- **** this "lock down S Fla bull****." Sounds great to say but until we win 10+ games a year and/or play the bag game, we will never lock it down
- Not sure what is allowed, but can we get more involvement from former players? Having Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, or The Rock on campus during your visit giving you a 1v1 speech has to mean something

Happy to add more based on other's thoughts.
Absolute gold OP. Good work!!!
