If Miami wants to clean this mess up Diaz needs to be a straight shooter.. He needs to declare war on the SEC and let media, players and coaches know if a kid is dirty and looking for $EC money that the U will cut them off immediately.. No coming to campus to hang out, no invites to paradise camps... Nothing... I'm sure people will cry over this for a little while but if the U doesn't draw a line in the sand this garbage is only going to get worse.

New Recruiting Strategy:

- No Silent Commits (credit poster above)
- Kid wants bags, cut from recruiting board and run ASAP (credit poster above)
- Recruit Plan B's HARD and don't stop if he a Plan A commits in their stop. Maintain strong contact, visits, etc. even if difficult because they cant commit right away
- Line up Plan B's & C's from get go. Stop waiting till we spurned on early signing day from Plan A's to start looking for Plan B's
- ******* OWN the Grad Transfer market. Staff should be refreshing that transfer portal 10x day and flinging out offers hard if we have open scholly spots
- Recruit nationally from Day 1. There are Brevin Jordon / Deejay Dallas types but you have to find them early and push hard
- **** this "lock down S Fla bull****." Sounds great to say but until we win 10+ games a year and/or play the bag game, we will never lock it down
- Not sure what is allowed, but can we get more involvement from former players? Having Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, or The Rock on campus during your visit giving you a 1v1 speech has to mean something

Happy to add more based on other's thoughts.

I wish manny would hold a press conference and shut it down starting now.. this cycle is already lost, might as well get started now and cut these corrupt south Florida boys looking to use the U to get a paycheck.

We should own the transfer market PERIOD!

No just win

Nope doesn’t apply to us. You may get some but you’ll still have recruits using you hoping for a bama offer.

Why are we the only one that has all our eggs in one basket? Bama is allowed to offer 10 five star rbs and none of them are offended. We offer two qbs or god forbid didn’t offer until they had their wet dream we didn’t show “love”.

There will always be an excuse for those recruits that were never coming here.

I’m just tired of the disrespect. Fine you want to go to bama but no need to string along.

I blame the coaches that keep putting themselves in this position. Liking retweets or allowing a recruit that knew a year prior he was coming there to hang out with his boys on campus is on the staff.

The recruits treat um how it allows it to be treated.

1) No silent commits. We need to start putting the pressure on these recruits. Put some heat on them and you'll know if they're BSing. Even if they aren't BSing still go recruit more possible replacements for a just in case scenario. We need to line up our targets A, B, C, D, and even E. We need to stop deciding AFTER we get burned to recruit kids B, C and D. Recruit them, if they are a B, C kid tell them to hold on to their commitment as you wait for kid A's decision. if Kid A takes to long then get kid B and drop him if kid A commits or keep them both if you like both. I'm tired of us trying to be fair because that's why we're getting taken advantage of. We try to do right by everyone and we just get burned in the end. F*ck what this community (who sells us out) feels. We need to be cut throat and make sure these kids know this.

2) More national recruiting. I'm tired of the "community" wants this or the "community" wants that mean while they are smuggling kids to Alabama or UGA. Recruiting more nationally puts us at a position to not have to listen to the community endless BS. Not only that but people think selling Miami to Miami kids are going to pull Miami kids. WRONG. Selling Miami to OOS kids would be much more effective. Stop using "staying home" as a recruiting pitch. It don't work with most kids.

These 2 reason are why we suck at recruiting. We hire a bunch of green coaches who don't know the game down here. These SFL kids silently commit to like 12 schools and because we have a bunch of green coaches they stop recruiting possible replacements because they think they have a kid in the 'bag' until Bama gives 'bag' a whole new meaning.

Not only that but we have this 1980's "this is how we do it" mentality. We have this all or nothing FL recruiting 1980's philosophy. Instead of going after, lets say 10 total DBs that consist of Florida and OOS kids, we only focus on just the 4 DBs in Florida out of those 10 DBs available. Why not just recruit all 10 DBs? We could possibly land 4 DBs out of the 10 instead of focusing on 4 FL DBs and only landing 1 out of the possible 10.

As for people who are saying we need to hit the transfer market hard. I'm pretty sure Golden did that for a lot of his DL recruiting and as we all know our DL play sucked under Golden. We ain't winning nothing with a team packed with transfers. People will point out Kansas State or WVu and to that I say how many NCG or CFP have those teams made? Okay then.

I remember years ago when Golden/Staff sniffed out Denver Kirkland - pulled the offer and got crucified for it. You can’t win down there.

This 100 times. Why won’t our coaches or school do this? We have a five year cloud over a dinner at Benihana’s yet these kids can somehow travel to Athens 20 times a summer with no issues? If it’s not a level playing field then what’s the point of even following this sport any more? This system and the NCAA need to be called out by the school officially rather than through anonymous sources via Barry Jackson.

Eveyone wants no silent commits, until next season when someone posts a thread about a 4 Star we lost because we wouldn't let him be a silent commit.

All of a sudden, these new "rules" are long forgotten and Manny is being burned at the stake.

We have to play better, understand some kids and their parents are going to be bought, fight for every kid we have a shot at and most importantly, develop them once they get on campus.

I'm sick and tired of some if you fans talking about coaches can close. The problem is half of the true fans talk crazy to these recruits via social media. Some of you should try to recruit for these coaches and heard the bull these recruits and families say! My son was a decent recruit, but didnt have the height to go to some of the big schools but his friends did. These schools uses other kids to get the elite talent to their schools to offer the other kid, this is why some schools get spurn by plan b kids.

No I think us informed fans have been burned so many times recently that we’d understand it. Had a lot these recruiting battles gone our favor then I would’ve agreed with you.

When has the silent commit worked out for us? We are batting a low percentage. They are clearly waiting on another school or trying to increase the bag.

No more of this plan b or c bs. If they’re on the recruiting board then accept their commitment whenever. Make room for bigger fish down the road when they’re ready. Ain’t no spot saving.

Yes it does, but it doesn' when you've only had one 10 win season, & 4 bowl wins in the last 15 years.

Exceed expectations, basically.

I respectfully disagree. You may get some of the front runners but some of the recruits will find another reason not to come. They were never coming no matter what. The coaches need to do a better job of identifying the trolls and move on even if they claim they’re interested or if their coaches complain.

If we’re good that means we have depth. They’ll say didn’t go there because I wanted to play immediately. Bama mysteriously doesn’t have that problem as they’ll take multiple four and five star receivers and rbs
