Echevarria is a solid Basque name.
Trust me, I know. :)
And Aleric is cool name.
Harkens back to the Visigoths.
Definitely an Alpha baby.
Congrats to your wife and you on a beautiful baby.
My first got named after me, so I let my wife name this one. It was unintentionally a great pick. Her family has German origins and my family has Spanish origins. The name mixes both things perfectly.

King Alaric I was the Germanic Visigothic king that sacked Rome in the year 410 because we was frustrated that Rome wouldn’t allow his people to have their own lands inside of the empire.

He died shortly after he sacked Rome but his people were given rights to settle in what is modern day Asturias (Spain).

Years later, his ancestors, under King Pelagius (Pelayo) would be the group to start La reconquista and eventually take back Spain from the moors.

So, perfect mix.

Refreshing to learn others know their history. Good work!
