New OL offer Nick Pendley

And again, seems like a few at least equal candidates in Miami's backyard.

Yet, nothing.

Ya doesn't appear that UM think much of the local OL backup plans...They offered smith. Maybe they just don't think some of the Cartwrights, boatengs, others can play? Next couple days will be very telling as far as OL offers go.

The offer has to mean something

Ya i understand that...But I mean do they think they are going to bat 1000? Were they convinced they were stone cold locks for Evan Neal? They know for a fact that Washington won't stay with MSU?

Yup he was terrible at the camp

He looked like he was going half speed. Looked soft there but his game film says different. I think he was out of his element as far as what kind of effort/nastiness to give without the pads. Offer list is legit. Frame too.

Needs to lose the sunshine but a girl will do that to him before too long.

I understand our frustration as fans about the staff not offering local linemen but we also have to understand that it’s them that put in the work evaluating. If they don’t think a kid is worth it then it’s ok for them to to go after them

I played De and this is the type of kid who ****es you off the whole game to the point you play outside of yourself and forget your assignment. Put him in with big gus and hopefully a new o line coach he could be a really good tackle come year 2-3

yeah I like how he plays through the whistle on his blocks. Was getting a little worried in the beginning of that film cause the dudes he was going against weren't big, the bigger DE- DT come later on thankfully

I was just thinking the same thing

The thing with soflo lineman having played against them most are just overweight and undersized.

Can Gus the Bus correct that?

Are other regions producing different 6'-5" OL athletes in height than SoFL?

Our man GoGeta4 said something interesting today wrt lack of quality OL development in this area.

Imagine what a high speed Miami OL coach could do by having camps throughout year for 7th grade and over OL candidates?

I will say it's the only thing I've been impressed about Richt--his pee wee football outreach.

Thats chess, thats long game.

So if the need is at OL, why does this go unaddressed?

Kids out of Creekview, the school my kids just graduated from. Saw him play a few times this year live and once on TV. He holds a Clemson offer as well. I cant say they play the toughest schedule but these guys basically pushed the entire defense back 3 yards on every play. Their running back put up like 2K yards because of the line.
