MEGA New Miami Adidas Ultraboost🔥 - The Shoe and Nike/Adidas Thread.

Might be the most clueless post that I've ever read on this subject.

Yeah, and for $3M, we plastered their name everywhere. Which will be removed and replaced when we sign the new contract.

Good lord, acting as if $3M of sponsorship buys permanence. The bull**** you read on CIS...
You apparently have difficulty reading and processing.

On top of their sponsorship deal they gave an additional $3 million for the indoor facility. And you are factually wrong, we did not put their logo "everywhere". There is one Adidas logo in the entire facility. If you want to argue about that, then I can post the pictures I just took. My comment simply stated that if their offer is at the top of the offers we are not going to just bail because certain fans want a check mark on our jerseys.

Adidas has been a good partner to UM and when Nike wouldn't even supply us with new uniforms for every game Adidas came in and made us their highest paid school. I want whichever brand pays us more and treats us better, I don't care.

None of this is true, like literally none of it. However let me ask what’s most important; winning, branding, or $$?

You can think what you want. As I was writing a check to donate to the indoor facility myself and a member of the athletic department had a conversation about how much more money was needed to be raised. He talked about as we were getting close to the end Adidas kicked in $3 million to help finish us up. Could he have been lying? Sure but why?

Ask @DMoney about Nike no longer sending us new equipment. They started treating us like trash. But we deserved it because we wouldn't stop sucking in football.

And to answer your question 1. winning 2. money 3 branding. Everything will come if you accomplish 1.

I’ve already corrected @DMoney about this, & if I need to rehash that again for ur edification, I will have no problem w/ that. Furthermore, I don’t “think” anything; I’m very connected on this, directly. So great that u’ve donated, that still changes nothing.

When I stated nothing u said is true, I wasn’t referring to Adidas “alleged” kick in for the IPF; I’m referring to ur statement about being a good partner for us, making us their highest paid school, etc.

Furthermore in college athletics Winning is most important, winning builds ur brand, & ur brand = $$.

I haven't said anything about Nike vs. Adidas. Think you guys are talking about someone else.

I don't know anything about shoes. I'm a New Balance 40-year-old.

Lol; I’m referring to the practice jersey issues we discussed a couple yrs ago, & I explained the clause in Nike’s contract regarding converting product into cash.

Exactly. It's a business arrangement, nothing more. If Nike steps up with a deal that is better than, or at the very least EQUAL to what Adidas offers, then I'm all for Miami moving back to Nike. That said, we shouldn't take a paycut, just to be part of Team Swoosh. I've said it once and I'll say it again: It's amazing how many Miami "Fans" are more loyal to an apparel company, that treated the University like crap for YEARS, than they are to the University.

Adidas has been a solid partner, and while everything released isn't by jam(Nike put out a ton of crap I wouldn't wear either), the student athletes have been happy for years about what they are getting. As long as the athletic department, and most importantly the student athletes are happy, I'm fine with it.

This "We deserve to be treated like crap, because we weren't winning" nonsense needs to end. Nike willingly chose to treat Miami like crap, because they didn't think Miami would walk away from them. Plenty of programs have been mediocre at best for years, and Nike never felt the need to do them dirty.

You are so full of ****. What you don’t know about corporate sponsorship of sports could fill a set of encyclopedias. I guarantee-*******-tee you that I know more about this than you do.

It has been well-established on this thread that adidas has been a terrible partner to Miami. I can just name ONE TIME when adidas ****ed us in the ***, when Louisville re-upped with adidas and then adidas didn’t honor the most-favored nation clause in the contract.

So **** straight off with your Beta Blake propaganda about Nike AND READ THE THREAD. @Rellyrell and I have explained numerous times about how Beta Blake converted apparel into cash. **** off with “Nike didn’t give us new uniforms”, that’s just a lie the know-nothings tell.

As for what you DONT KNOW about “activation”, it’s just hilarious. I didn’t say that the adidas logo was all over the IPF itself, but it is EVERYWHERE. Since you are so eager to brag and post pictures, don’t want me to post the pictures I took a few years ago when the IPF opened, and every player on the team was working out in identical adidas gear WITH THEIR NAMES AND NUMBERS on the t-shirts and shorts?

I know what happened. The adidas ***** got caught shorting us on the contract and they suddenly made good with a magical 3M donation. Sorry that you are so gullible that you believed that **** was charity.

The funniest part of all of this is your “source” from years ago is likely one of a bunch of guys who are no longer working at UM.

We got Nike lovers in charge now.
