Officially June 30, 2027.

We signed a dumb contract. It should’ve been 6, 8, or 10 based upon the price point. 15 is for deals that are guaranteed $10+m & royalties, but based upon our compensation, it should’ve been an 8 yr deal similar to UofM back when they signed to Adidas.

Is it possible or normal for school to buy out of their athletic sponsor deals?

It’s been happening. Part of the reason Rutgers were able to secure their top 2 b-ball players even though they have an Adidas logo on their jersey was buying out their contract, so both Harper & Bailey r rocking Nikes on court.

Usually if there’s a mutual parting, u can get out a contract when it’s close to renewal. If there was ever a time to break the contract it would be now after the season we just had. Nike is paying big $$ under Elliot, choking off Adidas at every turn, especially at the NIL level. That’s y they had to promise T. Hunter the world b/c even in the Futbol world, Nike is on a rampage.

seeing Netflix did the sEC deal. why didnt miami ever produce a web series chronicling this year? LSU did an NIL prime one. we should have done one at least on YouTube like a hard knocks style show

Hate em or love em, The SEC’s conference pride has made them the most marketable conference in the nation. That pride has made them a **** ton of $$, too.
