MEGA New Miami Adidas Ultraboost🔥 - The Shoe and Nike/Adidas Thread.

@Rellyrell when can Miami start negotiating its next apparel sponsor? I know adidas ends summer 27 just wasn’t sure if there was a period in which they were legally allowed to pursue the next contract with outside sponsors

We can talk anytime. We are talking.

Why do you think that adidas is finally starting to pump product?

What product is adidas pumping?

On the shoe side, they have traditionally given us one new model per year. Now, you have the gray Alphaboost, the white Alphaboost, and a couple of Dunk-looking shoes that are more for everyday wear (including the one that dropped a couple of days ago).

On the apparel side, they have been pumping out a bunch of jerseys that are not even connected to a particular game (like Miami Nights), such as the all-orange jersey and the ugly #45 jersey, in addition to the "normal" items. Plus we just got new basketball jerseys (even though the design is relatively simple and clean).

I have posted pictures of all these items previously. There's just a lot of stuff (which was late to market, and is just now getting into stores in the middle of football season) that is suddenly popping up.

Also, for perspective, I hit CanesWear, Hurricane Team Store, AllCanes, and the UM Bookstore during the weekend of Homecoming. Made purchases at each location. I'm not just forming an opinion based on what is on Fanatics or adidas.

Yessir. I even get links on Facebook for things like the "Gold Vapor" jersey, or whatever it is called, which is a black, white, and gold Cam Ward jersey.

And they are making Cam Ward BASEBALL jerseys too.

Weird, wild stuff...

baseball jerseys are very cool imo for a casual wear, even more so than a football jersey. At least with our current shoulder stripe which just looks dumb on a fan jersey.

Usually there’s an open window about 1-2 yrs before the current contract ends. Both the current apparel & future apparel brands need time to decipher if they will continue to make apparel/gear up to make new apparel.

Georgia Tech U, huh? Lol

Also, I wanted to comment on this, & this something I’ve known for a while:

Adidas’ motives right now are not altruistic. Adidas have always placed their weight behind who is making them look good at the moment.

Last season, UW was their darling, & all their attention went towards them. This season, UW has become an afterthought b/c they haven’t replicated the same results. With Cam now in the fold, & Miami firmly in the CFP discussion, they r using us as a marketing ploy. So enjoy this ride, too, while it last.
