New HC at Homestead High

I hesitate to even bring this up, fam, because your knowledge about these HS coaches and players is gospel in my book. But I think you may be mistaking Pollard's background some with Coach Neal's on this one. I was at Gables in the same class as Jon, and I am pretty confident Coach Neal was an assistant coach for Gables back when Vilma and Gore were playing there (96-00). I didn't play football at Gables after getting injured before my junior year, but I remember some of the guys on the team talking about him and I know Frank Gore spoke highly of him. He's also the coach that took the HC job at Gables when Pollard bolted to work with Jon's company.
Yeah you're right my bad, I just knew he had been at Gables for a long time lol.

I was still in elementary school back then, so I got'em mixed up.

All good, brother. It happens. Your batting average on these CIS streets is still aces in my book!
But yeah, Coach Neal was back and forth at Gables and Southwest for a long time. And my recollection is the guys on the team thought he walked on water. It was Montoya's team, but the guys loved Coach Neal (especially the guys on offense).

Tim Neal is an excellent coach.

No kidding. How do you win like that at Southwest? Neal had them within 30 minutes of an undefeated regular season one year.

Now Southwest is back to normal

It did seem like an odd fit for Neal at Gables that one season. He had them running finesse and gimmicks and all type of stuff that was necessary at Southwest but not at Coral Gables. Now it will be interesting to see how he adjusts to Southridge, which needs a boost especially offensively.
