Rodgers has definitely been a pleasant surprise. We definitely needed that with Bush being out for so long. By mid season I think Bush will be back in the starting spot tho with Rodgers providing solid back up.

I see Gus the Bus is moving on up like the Jeffersons...

Renfrow and Gilbert additions have been HUGE.

That's why it seems people (radio and TV) are underestimating our D. The addition of those two (and a healthy Porter) have made this D nothing like last year. When those two got on campus, it was as important as any signee on NSD.

Being Chick's backup is purely an honorary thing. Like being the backup shortstop for the Orioles in the 80's and 90's.

Wheeler or McDermott

I personally prefer Wheeler, and that's before McDermott even got hurt. Dude was handed the job, and it has been his to lose ever since Tyler Horn graduated.

McDermott = hikes the ball and wait until the next snap. Wheeler = gets after people!!

Getting better, but he was the cause of the long run by USF...should have filled the alley.

Stacy Coley and Duke Johnson at KR =

"coach, coach we're ****ed, who do I kick it too???"

How many snaps did we get from that two deep at DT last year in this game?

Crazy.
Chick-King-Grimble-Green were the DL on the field for the 4th and inches stop in overtime.

Watching that video three things stand out:

1) We're so much better on D this year it's not even funny.
2) Scott is badly missed - he gave Morris a WR that he can just throw the ball up to. Dorsett doesn't possess the size to do that and it's something Morris likes to do.
3) Our balance at RB was ideal last year and it's something we're lacking at the moment. Johnson isn't a feature back - he's a playmaker (get the ball in his hands 15+ times a game). We need a big back to carry the load - hopefully Gus Edwards becomes that guy as the season progresses.

Why are Kamalu and Armbrister listed as Juniors? Armbrister should only be a sophomore....he has been here three years, but he redshirted his first year. Kamalu is JUCO....but played only one year.
